No shouting, please.

I’m sorry to say I was the

EXACT age to miss classic Who (I was four when it finished). I first got into it after seeing Jon Culshaw’s Tom

Baker parodies, so I watched whatever I could, largely Pertwee/Tom Baker/Davidson. Of the three, I like Tom the

best.

Then I started watching the new series. I think it’s awesome. By cutting a lot of the technobabble,

they’ve made it accessible to the man on the street. The end of series 2 was kewl, yet sad. Can’t wait for the

Christmas Episode.

Nathan

Barley
Time Trumpet
The Day Today
Brass Eye
The IT Crowd

To say the least.

I’ve never really been into Nathan Barley but I love

Brass Eye (the paedophilia special was hilarious) and I like The Mighty Boosh. The IT Crowd was brilliant – are

they making a second series for definite, is there any news on it? I saw Chris O’Dowd doing stand-up a while

back, he’s just hilarious!

I got really excited for the new series, it really is

far more accessible. With the older series, you couldn’t really just start watching anywhere, you had to know

what was going on. I used to watch it here and there and just couldn’t really get into it. I thought

Christopher Eccleston did an amazing job. He’s not really the type of actor you would have associated with

Doctor Who. David Tennant was good, too but Billie Piper really blew me away. I was

shocked when they announced she was going to be playing Rose but she’s a

surprisingly good actress! And the new series has made it popular again, so you’re getting all the really

great British actors guest starring in it, too. XD
I was in tears at the end, and I still choke up

re-watching it. The Christmas Special looks great though. Doctor Who + Catherine Tate = love.

I actually don’t really watch TV. But I do watch

TV shows on DVD. So…

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (7 seasons in the space of about 8 months,

baby!)
Angel (but not as much as Buffy)
Firefly
Numb3rs
Sports Night
The West Wing

I used to watch Buffy

religiously… but I think that time when it switched stations I got all confused and stopped watching. I think

it was when… Buffy… died? Or something… and then she was … resurrected???

Yeah, that whole thing was a little strange. Theoretically,

the series could’ve ended after Season Five. However, there was at least a somewhat logical explanation as to

why they could bring her back, they made it so they couldn’t do it again, and frankly, the musical episode makes

up for any slight amount of weirdness.

"I’ve got a theory that it’s a demon, a dancing demon!

-no, something isn’t right there…"

There was a musical episod?? Hahahahah… I

remember liking Spike. He was cool. If his name was, in fact, Spike. Heh.

Haha, the musical episode is

famous. And funny. XD

I loved the movie and I really liked the first few series but it got a little too

much for me after a while, the whole Dawn escapade. (I’m sorry, I look at that kid and I think of

Clarissa Explains it All, The Adventures of Pete and

Pete and Harriet the Spy… I feel so old.)

And, frankly,

some of the fan base frightens me. A lot.

I think, at the end, when the stories revolved around

invisibility rays and such, you had to say it had passed it’s prime, but I do still watch re-runs on Sky.

(His name is Spike, and he is cool!)

The guy that played Spike went to my high school (I

think). I know he’s atl least from my hometown.

And if you feel old remembering Michelle Trachtenberg as

that sweet-looking blonde girl, then you’re not the only one, though I don’t remember her being on

“Clarissa Explains It All.” (And I loved her in “Inspector Gadget,” too.)

I think it was just a few episodes,

Clarissa had to babysit her and she was cruel and demanding. It’s sad that I remember that, but I do. XD God,

I loved that show. I used to have the Clarissa Explains it All board game… And The Babysitter’s Club board

game…

I’ve said too much now, haven’t I?

Not at

all, I read the BSC religiously when I was a kid.

And while the trio of nerds as the "big

bad" seems kinda lame, I have to admit I know the kinds of people that they’re charicatures of. Oh,

fanboys. They crack me up, so I enjoyed their escapades. Plus, it was just a diversion for the

real big bad. Season 7, however, lost quite a bit. Kennedy is one of the most

unconvincing characters in the entire show.

And the fan base? Frightening? Psssh. I’m friends with

Stormtroopers. This may change my perspective on “frightening,” but I’m well-acquainted with the

“extreme” end of the Star Wars fan base (and probably count among their number… better hide your

kids, wouldn’t want them exposed to one of the crazy costumed folk  ). So the Buffy fan base doesn’t seem so

far out there as far as I can see.

Ever met the Elvis Stormtrooper? I have.

:open_mouth: :shudders just thinking about it:

I

just got the two-DVD set of Do Not Adjust Your Set, a.k.a. one of the two pre-cursors to Flying Circus, for my

birthday. It’s different, but you can definitely see a lot of similarities, and it’s funny in its own way

even if it was originally geared towards children. I’ll definitely be asking for At Last The 1948 Show this

Christmas.

“Gravity. G-R-A-V-Y.”

Harriet the Spy! I actually like that movie… well I did

the last time I saw it… which is a while ago. I remember Clarissa but I don’t remember Tranchtenberg being in

it… but I’ve only seen it a few times. Speaking of Clarissa, I was totally obsessed with Sabrina the Teenage

Witch… the early days were the best lol. It got odd when Sabrina went off to college though… and rather

boring. They were out of ideas by that time.

Yeah, and thing is,

it was only eight years ago (Summer 1998, I beleive!)

And, yes, The

IT Crowd is back again later this year, CONFIRMED. Check the wiki page.

Yay! I’ve been dying to know what happens

next! Jen and Moss! Roy and someone almost exactly like his mother! Roy and Richmond! ('Goths are people

too’.) The suspence!!

One

of my favorite shows is Whose Line.
