Now to add more to my list!
-The Princess & the Frog has many awesome parts, but for some reason I really enjoy seeing the animation of the voodoo magic and the shades of Dr. Facilier. So Friends on the Other Side, the the whole climax! [spoil]I just love how all the different sacrifices for friends are made. If you think about it, Ray, Louis, Tiana, Naveen, and Charlotte were all willing to risk their life or life the way they want it for someone else. Really sweet concept that gives it that deep Classic feeling.[/spoil]
-Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas- I loved the siren scene. They really nailed this scene, I think, and they animated the sirens in an interesting way- figures of water! That’s creative. The music for this scene was outstanding- it’s just really lovely harmony but you can also hear the kind of eerie undertone. Also, I like how it happens right after Sinbad states that there’s no need for a woman on board. Because when the sirens come up, Marina has to take the wheel, and it’s her chance to shine as a heroine. That sure showed Sinbad, whether he admits it or not!
-How to Train Your Dragon: I’m gonna have to say the part where [spoil]Hiccup finds out more about dragons’ weaknesses through times with Toothless. It’s a pretty enjoyable scene to see Hiccup making his way from zero to hero in the eyes of others, and Astrid getting real pissed off at it. [/spoil]
Let’s see, what else…
I really liked the opening for Up, the Married Life scene. It’s really touching and unique and also a bit tearjerking while it makes you smile at some parts, and the music is flawless with it.
Another scene I liked from Up is, I think, them meeting Kevin. Just seeing this giant monster-sized bird being so playful with Russell after just meeting him- it’s so cute. Russell’s great with wild animals, huh?
In Shorts, I liked the staring contest that goes throughout the film. Its hilarious. But I wonder if [spoil]in the story they took time outs when they had to shower or something…? Uhhhh it’s a good thing movies leave bathrooms out most of the time, right? Forget I said that… [/spoil] What’s funny is that their boredom buster game just prevented them from realizing what was happening right there in the neighborhood.
In Bambi I just loved seeing little Bambi discover new things like flowers and snow. It’s so adorable and innocent, I have to smile, and I could cry.
In The Swan Princess, I enjoyed the beginning song “This is My Idea” with little Odette and Derek growing up together, at first hating each other as if they were newly stepbrother and stepsister or something, then Odette trying to be friends but being avoided, then Derek having a slight crush and kind of still complaining…and yeah…
I know, I know. I’m listing random movies. Well this is what I could think of at the moment.
