Agreed! It wasn’t a kiss but it definitely made me happy! In the movie theater, I was like “Yes! fistpump” My parents were like :open_mouth:.

The cruising scene is my favourite part of the whole movie and I almost cry every time during the “Goodbye” scene. :cry: Bahahaha, Cars puns FTW. :wink:

Because when [spoil]Holley was like “I’m Mater’s Girlfriend”[/spoil] I fistpumped. All five times, I fistpumped.

Same!!! The “Goodbye” scene is a total tear-jerker. And I never cry over movies or books. Sometimes my little brother runs out of the room during that part because he says it is too sad. 8D Hahaha, and I love how easy it is to make Cars puns. ;-p

Yeah,the part where Lightning and Sally have to say goodbye to Sally,was beautiful…every moment between them…the actor’s voices were beautiful… And when they nearly kissed…I melted <3 …followed by anger… :-\

I like that you mention the actor’s voices. That is so key to making that moment even better and they did. I love how they fade the music so you can clearly hear them. Owen’s voice is so soft and you can hear how distraught he is. Then there is Bonnie’s voice where you can practically hear her heart breaking in every word she says. <3

Because at that time he hadn’t completely changed,and him starting to be romanticly interested in her asked her that because again…thinking about money…so that’s why he asked her that…I actually thought it was cute,Sally’s reply I mean…

OK, I sort of thought that but I wasn’t sure if there was more to it than that. I loved that scene because that was pretty much the first time Sally and McQueen started to bond.

Hence the winky face. 8D And you know what I noticed? While we were debating Mater’s age nobody took into account the fact that he is obviously at least 40 years old because he was around when the interstate came up like Sally mentions while they are out there.

Probably because of the way he acts. It makes him seem more youthful. I liked that scene with him and McQueen in Cars 2 when they were riding on the rails without their tires on. 8D

I completely agree on the actor’s voices thing you guys mentioned and the music fading out; it is a nice touch. It makes you feel like Lightning and Sally are in their own world which I think was the intention.

I agree with [b:2mskaau6]xCarsLuverx[/b:2mskaau6]. I also thought that because he was obsessed with money, he thought that if she wasn’t rich, she was a "nobody". Speaking of that scene, I love when she says "I fell in love." as the reason she didn’t go back to L.A. and JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE OF HIS. GUH. <3

Because it’s sort of weird thinking of Lightning and Mater as best friends and they’re like twenty to thirty years apart.

I love when [spoil:2mskaau6]they're trying to get out of the tunnel and Mater's just screaming his hood (Is it possible to say a sentence without a [i:2mskaau6]Cars[/i:2mskaau6] pun involved?
