Favourite Scene

I know we’re past this now, but I have to make comments on a few things;

Thanks! I had never seen that! Not the best teaser trailer I’ve seen but what can you expect from a teaser?

Nope! I wanted to, but I didn’t get the chance. I begged my mom to let us rent it once it hit DVD. I don’t think she watched it with us, but my brother and I did. I was never so deeply lost in a movie as I was with Cars. Then as soon as it finished it was around 10pm and I was like, “When can I watch it again?” :open_mouth: <3 Obsession was born.

I can’t tell you how much I love that single line. It is so quick but I prefer little things of humor like that over more grand ones like the tractor scene.

Back to the current topic…

:open_mouth: I think I have brought this scene up a minimum of 5 times on this thread alone. So, yeah, you could say I love it…a lot. <3

Are you gonna mention it a 6th time?

Me too! They’re witty and they’re quick. And they tend to be funnier because of their random timing. I always think, “Where did you get that number from, Mater?!” 8D

That has to be one of the funniest lines in the entire film. I always wondered if Mater was just joking around or if he actually meant it. Knowing his character he was probably just joking around with Lightning.

I also liked that scene. I wonder if Lighting ever payed him.

LOL! 8D You never know, Mater did look pretty serious. o_0

They should of had ascene for that in Cars 2. Their in a plane or something. Their quiet and then out of nowhere Mater says.

“You still owe me $32000 in legel fees.”

8D That would be funny. Lightning would probably not even remember that.

I think he would of forgot to.

Maybe the helicoper ride payed him off.

That would’ve been awesome 8D

I literaly wouldive peed myself!

I too liked the scene where Radiator Springs was lit up in neon. Then again, I love neon.

Neon looks great, but what I really loved here was its reflections on the cars. Gorgeous!

I think I have said it before but not sure… I like the “Our Town” scene.

I do to. It was great to see what Radiator Springs looked like before the innerstate was built.

I wanna see the town I grew up in before I70 came. Before it was made, it was a small farm town, but shortly adter it was made, the population exploded and now it’s one of the fastest growing cities their. I read in the 70’s it had about 500 people and by the 80s it had 15,000 people. It now has about 53,000 people.

This! I always think of that when I watch that scene. It looks completely realistic and just perfect. :-D)

That scene can be like the “Tractor Tipping” scene for me, my attention goes elsewhere but I admit it is an awesome scene and the song is just so fitting.

I’ve never cared for the “Our Town” montage, it never appealed to me o_0

Not a fan of Our Town either.
