I was on vacation at my Uncle’s place, and watched this. It was interesting how some of the designs were so incredibly elaborate, but there didn’t seem to be a design that really seemed to set a good utility of time.

Example: The Toy Story themed cake had a nice layout and the guys put quite a bit of thought into the backgrounds (the detail on Andy’s bed was amazing), but then they didn’t focus on the characters, and ended up with very ‘blase’ forms.

The Bug’s Life cake design was pretty good, and I liked the guy’s plan to really make the characters look good. Of course, his extreme attention-to-detail caused him to not quite work well on the others.

The Monsters Inc tragedy had some good ideas, but of course, cake malfunctions and icing down Sulley’s fur were definite issues.

The Nemo cake I felt worked well, though I was amazed they cited the negative being the cake didn’t work in full 360. But even then, the design worked pretty well.

I tried google searching for it, but I couldn’t find anything. oh well, guess I’ll try to find it via youtube.

I’ve been looking for images as well because I don’t think this program airs here even though we do have food channel. Haven’t found anything yet.

I tried to find it on Google and I didn’t, but I did find a cake in the shape of WALL-E.

I saw this back in September of what is left of the current year, and it was pretty good what all of these contestants did.

I was so happy and hugged Bluey when I saw that the FN cake won the contest or the two people who did it.

The Bugs Life cake seemed well done too. I was believing that this was the one that was going to win when the judges were about to report their decision, until I had this sense that it was going to be Finding Nemo.

But it was bad seeing the guys who worked on the Monsters Inc. one. They had a difficult day for when this contest happened. They worked on the Sulley very well if I remember seeing correctly, and yes it fell :laughing:! I know it may not be funny to some on here, but I could not help laughing some after seeing that on the contest show.
But they did their best, it seemed.

I didnt even know this was gonna be on, so I flipped channels one day and caught the last, like, minute of it so all I saw was the Nemo cake. I was like “wait a minute, that’s Marlin and Dory! Was this a Pixar episode??? Dang it!!!” (well I said something else really, but I must keep it civil :wink: )
