Got any good stories?

Lol, yes it was painful once I saw the blood. xP

And the cats don’t seem to think it’s cool that he’s down there.

FONY- Lol, I can imagine! So, is it just a pet turkey, or is it for…whispers…eating?

Lizardgirl: He was just a pet, but after all his antics lately, everyone’s considering cooking him. But of course, as bad as he is, no one would have the heart to kill him.

Here’s one

Once upon a time. The End

We got a little bit of snow in Orlando, FL… that is unusual :open_mouth:

Unusual huh? What do you guys usually get? Rain? Sun?

Lots of rain in the summer, otherwise sunshine

I live in South Florida and can confirm his story. My Dad says he saw some cars coming down from Melbourne (Mid. Western Florida) and they had snow on them. The news says it’s snowflakes carried from Georgia and Northern Florida not actual snow. It’s all cus of the cold front, this morning was freezing ( I live around Ft. Lauderdale) I think we where in the 40’s. I know, I know, that’s not too cold for you guys up North, but when you’ve lived in the tropics all your life, it is!

lizardgirl - Maybe I’m a lot more introverted, but how did you not die of embarrassment when your teacher saw your flags?

I have a story… I think I convinced myself that it was funny for the sake of ceasing to feel like such an idiot. Anywho, when I was in high school, I agreed to go out with this one guy on Valentine’s Day. He had asked me the same day right after giving me flowers, candy and a huge bear at school, so it’s not like I would have said “no”! I didn’t even really like him and I was too immature to really even know how to respond to a boyfriend, so I broke it up two weeks after. I didn’t even know that I had broken up with him on his birthday until one of his friends told me! I felt… evil. Plus, one of his friends was with me in economics class and he kept giving me the stink-eye right after that incident.

Then another time I tripped (hard!) and took 4 of my girlfriends down with me right in the middle of a crowded sidewalk. We had our arms linked together and they were lucky enough to have me be in the middle.  My right foot swelled up and looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy’s the next morning. =s

DoubleLatte- Lol, I don’t know! I was sort of embarrassed, especially since he’s one of those teachers that tries to act all serious and professional (he’s a deputy head and everything) but he definitely has a funny side, and I think he managed to see the lighter side of the situation. I mean, it’s not as if he didn’t know already! It was obvious I didn’t enjoy physics lessons just for the physics!

And aww about the whole boyfriend thing. But you weren’t to know! And he shouldn’t have put so much pressure on you in the first place.

My puppy has a girlfriend. NOw one day, my puppy’s girlfriend snuck out of her house to visit my puppy. I tried to shoo her away, but they kept close. Even when I took my pup for a walk, she would follow, with no leash, no nothing. After they played with each other for an hour, I locked my puppy in his cage and told her to leave. She did.

Okay, I’ve been wanting to share this with you guys for some time now. Last summer, my mother and I went up to the Holy Hill church just to light a candle and say a few prayers. I noticed that there were a lot of cars there. I couldn’t figure out the reason until we went upstairs to the actual church. We ended up walking in on a wedding. Wait, it gets better, we ended up walking in on a wedding… as they were saying their vows. I thought, " Gah! These things don’t happen to me…" Heheheh.

lizardgirl - You’ve no inhibitions about it, eh? XD
Having a hot teacher for something like math is the worse, I think. I’m too busy gawking at him to really listen to the lecture. XD
Fortunately, that didn’t apply to my statistics professor last semester!

And thanks for the sympathy. Exactly! I mean, I appreciated the gesture, but I did feel a bit pressured. At least that story got a few laughs from my friends, so it made me feel a little less guilt-ridden!

Here’s a short and funny story.

My dad was out back with the branch trimmer and he reached up to cut a branch, and when he did, my sister screamed ‘Ow!!’ and he jumped out of his skin.

For a second there he said he thought the tree said ‘Ow!!’ xD

:open_mouth: Really now FONY? That is funny. You have no idea how many times I have seen that happen to me.

TSS: What happened to you? A tree screamed in pain? Not in this realm, lol!

xD

That is hilarious, FONY! Your sister is so smart. 8D

FONY: Heh heh heh. Well to tell you the truth, I have my ditzy moments here and there.

I’m not sure if this could be classified as a “proper” story, but…

I was in my Drawing and Composition class in college today, when the teacher gave the "role call’ and asked everyone to introduce themselves and, if they wished, state a few interesting factoids about himself/herself. Naturally, I mentioned that I wished to attain a position at Pixar Animation Studios in the future, and the adolescent gentleman sitting beside me mentioned that he was involved with the studio. Curious, I questioned the guy as to what type of involvement he had with Pixar…

Guess what? The dude is the son of John Ratzenberger! Is that cool or what? I thought that his last name was simply a coincidence, but man, what an honor! Mr. Ratzenberger’s son is such a sweet guy, too – a real gentleman. I asked him if he’d been to “the Studio” (le Holy Grail of studios) and he said that, yep, he’s been. He said that the people there are the nicest of folks and that the building itself is quite complex.

Needless to say, I’m most ecstatic. I refuse to disclose the name of the fellow for personal reasons, of course, but man was that conversation an awesome one, even if it only lasted a few minutes.

By the way, I’d ask that no one ask of me to interrogate him with intimate/specific questions regarding his father or Pixar Animation Studios. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind, but I don’t like to bother anyone in that manner all the same. Heheh.

Man, that was so cool… (snigger)

– Mitch

That’s awesome, Mitch! I guess the surname must’ve been a real giveaway.
