Have you ever went to disneyworld/land?

oh that sounds cool

Yeah, I wanna get peoples thought on it.

.I saw it TSS and its really cool
it was really funny to see all those chefs dancing
for some reason i thought it was funny
i really like jack- jack on the evil robot [yes i forgot the name] from the incredibles.

Pixart: Thanks for the review. (By the way, the robot is called the Omnidroid). Also, does the parade randomly stop and then play everywhere before going on?

Is that like the Pixar Block Party parade at the Studios? Lol, my brother asked me what the parade there was about and I said “I’m not sure if I should say” and he goes “what? High School Musical?” and I’m like “no…” and he says “What, then?” and I look a little sheepish and I say “Pixar…” and he goes “Aww, for crying out loud.” I think he thought I was wanting to see it, which I kinda did, but kinda not. We went to Toy Story Mania during that I think, because the line was shorter.

lennonluvr: Well, the PIxar Play Parade sorta replaced the Pixar BLock Party.

Block Party Bash was a Disney’s California Adventure Parade, and just recently moved to Hollywood Studios. I loved that parade, it was was very energetic, and brought lots of charm to DCA. I was always happy to see it when I was at DCA.
I remember the final day it was at DCA, it was kinda their goodbye ceremony, and it was raining that day too, yet all the performers and loyal fans were willing to be out there one more time, even in the wet rain. It was really saddening to see BPB go. It made DCA really lonely for a while before Pixar Play Parade came.
Pixar Play Parade may be fun, but it just doesn’t have the same spirit Block Party Bash had. :frowning:

i love disney world

I’ve been to Disneyland only, probably been there about 7+ times in my lifetime.

The earliest I remember was going to Disneyland at the age of 5, and my cousins who were also visiting California as well went with us. I remember two things distinctly about that trip:

  1. A woman with really long fingernails was removing the ‘pegs’ in the ground to insert the posts for the parade rope-off.

  2. When the little ‘whirlybugs’ from Alice in Wonderland in the Electrical Parade came by, one got really close to me and made me back up really fast.

That was in 1985. Since then, I also visited in 1989, 1990, 1993, 1995, 2000 & 2008.

In 1989, I remember my Uncle Frank came along. He went with us on Splash Mountain that year. Though given our arrangement, I took the full brunt of the water, and my sisters and uncle were pretty dry. I remember back near Videopolis, they had a Benny The Cab set-up with Roger RAbbit for photos. Of course, I had toget one with him. I also remember later that night sitting at the hub watching the Electrical Parade, and me and some other kids were shouting at the Caterpillar and his smoking hookah, saying he was ‘polluting the air.’

1990-this one is my favorite year. My Dad spent a bit more to allow us to spend a night at the Disneyland Hotel. We checked in around late afternoon, and then took the monorail over to the park. As we were getting off, the Party Gras parade was starting in the distance. Dad came armed with a video camera this year, and took video of the event. I caught some of the beads they were throwing, and slid about 3 ft on my 10-year-old kneecaps to get some. Later on that night, we watched the electrical parade from Main St. and the fireworks. The next day we watched the Party Gras before leaving the park. This was one time where we remember how our Mom regretted not having her camera with her (my Dad’s camcorder was in the car as well). As the parade stopped, one guy pulled me and my sister from the side to do a conga line. The only time I ever was brought into a Disneyland parade.

1993-The opening of Toontown was most likely the reason we went this year. We got pictures taken with Mickey at his house, where he was dressed for ‘The Band Concert.’ This was also the last year that our Mom was alive and we went to Disneyland. I always remember that of all the fast rides, the only one she was willing to go on was The Matterhorn. It was also the first year we saw Fantasmic. The cool part was we were at the far corner. AS we’re watching, a dark shadow crosses nearby, and with a canon flash and lights, the Columbia appeared with Pan and Hook aboard. We also saw the Beauty and the Beast stage show in Videopolis.

1995-Indiana Jones brought us back. Once through the gate, we ran to Adventureland, where we endured a 1 1/2 hour line to see the ride. This year, we had a smaller camcorder, and I took video of almost everything, including Fantasmic.

2000-the last foray to D-land before transferring to a new college. I hated that the 45th was very subdued. Nothing as big as the 35th-even the 40th was small potatoes. I did ride Dumbo with my Dad, and remember some cast members giving out black ‘magic feathers’ to the little kids to help Dumbo fly. Of course, by this time, the Monorail couldn’t do a full circuit because of work on DCA, and the Electrical Parade had ‘glowed away forever.’ What was amazing at this time was I estimated we rode 15-18 rides in 1 day. I also remember me and my youngest sister going over to Tom Sawyer Island. IT was pretty nice, and kind of fun watching kids just enjoying them

2008-Did about 15-17 rides this time as well, though there was much more to see. We did 4 rides in 1 hour starting at 9am (Indiana Jones, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain). Also rode on the Columbia, something we hadn’t done in ages. Though we steered clear of Fantasyland (it was filled with kids, and it appeared all the families were there at the moment). So we hopped around to Toontown, Tomorrowland and back to Adventureland, before going to DCA. Thanks to the park hopper, we did plenty over there. I had worn my Wall-E shirt, and was amazed that noone pointed out the shirt, except a couple cast-members. I was also hoping for some park-exclusive Wall-E merchandise, but nothing. Well, there was a $75 hawaiian shirt with Wall-E characters on it…but $75!? At the end of the night, we fought our way back into the park to go on Nemo. It was me that made the family go-Nemo was one of the reasons I wanted to go to the park, and the last thing I wanted was to come back in 35 years and find something broken down (when we went on POTC in 2000, the auctioneer in the attraction was bent over his boots, not moving). It was nice, but I still think one of these days I’d like to get a 2-day pass and go by myself.

I’ve never been to Disneyworld, and for being the biggest Disney geek in high school a decade ago, it was hard for some to believe. MY one oppurtunity to be in orchestra and go with them to Disneyworld fell through-needless to say, for a period of 4-6 months I was depressed about it. I kept trying to ignore it and move on, but my high school mind was seething hearing people had gone on rides, taken photos, done all these things, etc. Of course these days, one reason I would have wanted to go down there (the Florida animation unit) is no more.

I’ve been to Disney in Paris and Florida.
More recently went to Disney Paris like two weeks ago with some friends

zada: First off, welcome to PIxar planet. Secondly, what is D-land Paris like? I really want to go there.

TSS - It’s alright. Only has two parks and it has all the major big rides which are good I guess haha. I did miss Splash Mountain though as that isn’t at Paris.
I’d go to Florida as it has more choice but Paris was closer so it was an easier option to book. Although they do have a new ride called Crush’s Coaster which is really fun , you like travel on the EAC and it spins you and drops you and goes all fast in the dark and the seats are two facing forward and two backwards.

The greatest foreign Disney park is probably Tokyo DisneySea.
When you just look at it, there’s is an incredible amount of detail in every single spot of the Park, and people say the Cast Members are some of the nicest ones they’ve ever seen. Most of the attractions are completely unique and original.

Here’s one of the rides there, it’s called “Journey to the Center of the Earth”, based of of Jules Verne’s classic story:

Disneyland Paris is brilliant!
That is what made us want to book WDW for Florida in January 2009.
I am really looking forward to going to Walt Disney World, I am a member of WDW Magic (David2008)

David if you think Paris is brilliant, Florida is like twenty times better!!!

I agree. It has got like 6 or 7 different theme parks. It is amazing.

and the water parks TSS

I know, that is included in the 6/7 parks.

We got the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom, and Downtown Disney.

has anyone been to any of the water parks because i have and there fun

and what is your favorite theme park

I love the Water Parks. But I think I have to say that Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach both have their ups and downs. Typhoon Lagoon has got an amazing atmosphere with the plants and the wrecked ship. I also love the big wave.

Blizzard Beach has got by far the best slides. Summit Plummit is the fastest and most exciting 5 seconds of your life. I also love the other slides and how you can chill in the pools.

THere used to be a third one called River Country, but it was totally crappy.
