Have you ever went to disneyworld/land?

Yeah, I’m really excited!!

JamieLew - Woo! How awesome! You have fun, dude…

Come to think of it, in my Choir Class, we might go to Disney World as a Chior Trip/Festival. I also might go to Disneyland as a school trip too!

I went to Disneyland in 1995, before they re-did Tomorrowland…

Those were the days. Now I want to go back, as I didn’t get to see everything when I went.

Rythem: Oh you should go again. There are so many things! See if you can go to both Disneyland and California at the same time.

I’ve been to Disneyland quite a few times in my childhood. But then I got older and too busy to go. Until last March (or so) when my friend took me. It was then that I could really appreciate it for all the art and details. Haunted Mansion is my favorite! Although, that was before the Nemo Submarine ride opened, so I can’t wait to see that.

California Adventure I’ve been to once. It was alright. I remember a Bug’s Life 4-D show or something.

I went to DisneyWorld once a really long time ago. Don’t remember much of it.

A woman at my work had never been to Disney World before and now she’s really excited that she’s getting to go. She’s going the week before Halloween so I told her even though I had never been there at that time, I know they do stuff, like decorations, and Disney villains and all that. Plus I’ve been telling her what to see (as good as I can since I havent been there in 8 years) so that’s been kind of fun

Cool! Have fun if you do go.

lennonluvr9 - Heh. I’ve met a few people who have never been to Disneyland/Disney World before, and it never fails to surprise me. I’m all, “You’ve never been?!”.

I hope your friend has fun! I know that they redecorate the Haunted Mansion ride so that it takes on a “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme. At least, I think they still do that…

Thanks, I can’t wait! One is about a couple months, the other doesn’t happen until next semester.

Living in California does have it advantages. We go to Disneyland maybe once or twice a year. Been to California Adventure once last year when they had this both parks for once price bit. Once day we went to disneyland and other day we went to California Adventure.

California Adventure is more Pixar then Disneyland is more of DIsney characters. As i last recalled, they had a pixar type parade there, saw almost every pixar character expect for cars and ratatouille. They had this section there based on Bug’s life for little kids.

But to me, Disneyland is still the happiest place on earth. I’m might be 24, but when i go there, i feel like a kid again.

I been to Disneyland (several times) and California Adventure(1). And i don’t live far from the park. It’s an hour drive from my house to there.

I already have planned to go to Disneyland next month. I really didn’t care for California advenuture very much expect for a few rides there, but my heart does to disneyland. Your not too old for Disneyland, riding dumbo, tea cups, or space mountian or Moutain horn.

I really want to ride that new Nemo submarine ride even if it is a ciddie ride. It looks interesting.

I’ve been to WDW when I was 13, I loved it!!!

I bought plane tickets tfor ate march to Florida a few days ago. I’m going with my 'rents as part of a business getaway. The park will be closed to the public and we can roam around free. Should be a blast. Only problem is that I’ll be missing 4 classes if I go. And at my school that like asking to fail the whole semester. So I might be down a couple hundred if I can’t go on the trip.
It’s not the parks that are attacting me. It’s the chance to get an interview for a intership. I’m hoping to get my foot in the door. I need to talk to some of my profs who worked for disney and see if they’ll help me out.
Of course, going to the parks won’t hurt either I’m gonna spend me some money at Epcot.

Haunt - I hope that you meet your professors and such! Any opportunity to converse with those in the business is worth the time.

Oh, I completely forgot to post here again!

Well, I did end up going to Disney World for 4 days or so before Christmas. In comparison to Disneyland… it was huge. I was also expecting it to be more or less the same as far as the atmosphere but… as most of you guys probably already know, only Magic Kingdom has that Disneyland vibe (complete with Disney music on the streets and Disney characters parading around…) and MGM was a lot like California Adventures.

I LOVED Epcot though. It felt like it was a park made for the more mature visitors and to be quite honest, most of the members of my marching band didn’t like it. It was very unique and I could have spent all week exploring around the various “countries”. It was my favorite mostly because it was visually gorgeous.

Animal Kingdom had good rides (Dinosaur is their “version” of Indiana Jones. Oh my lordy. It is the most frightening ride I’ve ever been on! I almost peed in my pants.) but I didn’t really like the… “animal” aspect of it… which I guess was the whole point.

In case anyone is interested-- Florida weather was mostly rather hot… but I loved the sky. The sky changes every 5 minutes in comparison to Southern California… where you basically have clear blue and then you have overcast. And rarely anything in between.

(it took me so long to get back!) Yeah, she did have a good time. She said they went to Mickey’s Halloween party and her kids dressed up that they had a really good time.

JamieLew - Sounds like you had a great time! I’ve always wanted to visit Epcot myself, but I haven’t gotten the chance to…yet. (snigger)

lennonluvr9 - Ha-ha. Cool! I’m glad she had fun.

Bring money, because you are going to want to buy everything. Heh.

It a had call on which is my favorite park, Epcot or Magic Kingdom. All in all I’d have to say Epcot wins but just barely. Not saying that I’ve grown out of MK, heavens know I still squeal like a 5 year old when I see characters walking around. But I’m drawn to Epcot just a little bit more. I love studying other cultures, seeing all the fun exhibits…and eating. Ooohhhhh, the food!
Plus of course the parade of dreams or whatever they call it nowadays. When I saw it originally in its first year (2000) I was part of the Millennium Celebration and the parade was called the Tapestry of Nations.
My best advice to first time Epcot goers: avoid the parade during the day. It’s a million times better at night. Plus right after the later parade is Reflections of Earth, which happens out on the lake. A great place to see both without having to move is right in front of the Continental United States area. You can see the Earth perfectly from there.
Oh I love that parade. First on that ever made me cry.

Haunt - Cool. Thanks for the tips! I’ll do my best to keep them in mind if I ever have a chance to visit Florida and its many attractions, Epcot included.

Sorry to say this, but Tapestry of Dreams has been gone for almost five years. Ended back in '03, though I really wish it was still going…
