I’ve been [to WDW] twice. Once at age 6 with my mom and her boyfriend, and another at around age 12 with my mom, step-dad, and whichever siblings had been born/were about to be born at the time. (No, the step-dad and the boyfriend are two different people).
My whole immediate family BUT me went a few months ago just before I turned 19 (so another 6-year rotation), and I missed out due to college.
I’ve been to Disneyland about 10 times.(its easy when you live in Southern California).
I’ve never been to California Adventures, even though its across the street from Disneyland.
I’ve never been to Disneyworld.
You should go to California Adventure if you get the cahnce to go to Disneyland again. it is so much wicked fun.
And Disneyworld is the best place I will ever go for a vacation.
You mean I havent said anything about my recent trip here yet? Here’s a basic take, copied off my dA journal:
I’m back from Disney World. it was EPIC. So many neat things happened that I either havent done at all or in a real long time. I got almost everything on my list accomplished, including things that werent on it too. (yeah I had a list), such as
-Buy a hotel towel from the Tower of Terror- Finally! I had to dip into my food money, but that was my main goal for this entire trip.
-See the British Invasion at the UK in Epcot-unfortunately no. but I did spend a lot of time at the UK and bought a Beatles keyring from the awesome little Beatles shop there!
-See Herbie at Planet Hollywood or at All Star Movies- we actually had dinner at Planet Hollywood one night so I got to see him!!!
-Possibly see WALL-E at the AMC at Downtown Disney- I didnt think this would happen. I can see movies anytime so I wasnt gonna press the issue.
-Ride the monorails- In fact, I rode them more than I have in a loooong time. Everytime I went to Magic Kingdom and to Epcot in fact! (and can I say the Polynesian looks way retro to me?)
-Check out the Contemporary Resort- I rode through many times, but didnt get a chance to look around there.
-Ride Pirates and Haunted Mansion as much as I can!!!- I think rode them like 5 or 6 times each. I walked the distance between them so many times, I could have done it with my eyes shut! (and everytime I walked through Frontierland, without fail, fiddle music blasted at me out of nowhere)
We seem to have hit WDW right after a transition period, so many things were new, or revamped. (and yeah I hate Spaceship Earth’s new ending) I liked the changes to Pirates, the Haunted Mansion, and Small World. They were updated without being ruined I also rode the new Expedition Everest, and the new Toy Story Mania ride (so fun! I liked it a little better than the Buzz Lightyear one) So many more things, too numerous to say. But if anyone wants to know, i can give you more detailed observations.
Wow, I seemed you seemed to have a lot of fun. Believe me when I say WDW is probably the best location to go for a vacation.
You know what’s funny? I was like the Disney World Guru for the whole trip! Because I kept up to date with the changes and had familiarized myself with the park maps since the last trip, I was Go-to person for everything. I was the navigator, since I knew where everything was, and if anyone had a question about what year something happened, or what park a certain thing was in, I was the person my family asked. It felt kinda nice to be the leader for a change.
You sound like me when I was on my florida trip in April like about 3 months ago. Everyone knew I was really obsessed with the Incredibles, but no one really figured that I knew alot about Disney too, especially the parks. (and it also helped that it was my second time in Disney World)
Earlier this year I went to Hong Kong, so I got to stop by the Disneyland in HK! It was great fun, but I must admit it did seem quite small (I read that it’s only one percent of the Disney world in Florida!!) when I think back on it. But it was still awesome, because it was the first and only Disneyland I’ve ever been to in my entire life!(=
I used to get to go to Disneyworld every year. My dad co-chaired a conference there, which meant we got to go for free
Unfortunately, the conference stopped due to lack of interest

i went to WDW once when i was 12 last year and i went on the newest pirates of the carrabean ride and i closed my eyes the whole time and i was scared to death so bad i was crying and yes i know im a wimp lol
I used to be afraid of evey Disney ride when I was a kid. NOw, I just really hate ones that just drop, but I learned to conquer my fears. The hardest part is getting on the ride but after you ridden it, you want to do it again.
not at seaworld me and my dad sat in the back of the atlantis ride so we wouldnt get wet and it had no drain in the back so our feet got wet to our shins lol and there was a drop that happened unexpectedly for us and i flipped out lol and im not a roller coaster person and i didnt wanna get back on that ride lol
Sitting on the back of rides (especially the log ride at D-Land) is the most scariest, but absolute most thrilling spot you can sit on.
i never went on that one i saw it though
Well, it is really, really fun. Once you get the courage to ride it, you should.
lol with the prices of stuff today i doubt my family will be ablew to go back
Oh yeah, well, give it time. When you do get the chance to go again, I strongly suggest you go. THe logride is one of D-Lands most popular ride.
so was the safari jungle ride we waited in line for like2 hrs lol and thats not good that its the most popular ride long lines
I disagree. In disneyland, the most popular ride is Space mountain, hands down.
