Death is definately my least favourite thing in the world. I don’t even like thinking about it, and any time someone dies, no matter WHO it is, or HOW it happened, I get very, very sad, and even break down crying at random times because of it.
This happened with Anna Nicole’s death last year. That was probably the saddest time of my life, and I’m not even a fan of her’s. I think what really made me sad was not only the fact that she died, but because almost everywhere I went people were making JOKES about it, and actually LAUGHING about it. I didn’t understand how people could be so heartless, to laugh about something as serious as a person’s death.
The same thing’s been happening with Heath Ledger. I was shocked to hear that he died, and naturally went into school knowing that everyone would be talking about it. And I was right. They were. But they weren’t only talking about it, but also joking about it, just like Anna Nicole’s death.
I don’t know what it is, but these things just really upset me.
LeBatEnRouge: They were joking about it?! That’s terrible!
I don’t get entirely sad with death- though I’m not a religious person I do feel that once people are gone their spirits are around and well … death just makes me feel much closer to them, that they’re watching over me when I think of them. Silly, yes, but that’s what I believe. I can feel it.
Anyways, I got extra sad when I remembered he was in the Brother’s Grimm and I loved his character in it- so adorable!! The movie was so underappreciated too.
My son “Derek Aaron” looks just like Heath, I am not kidding!!! Many have told him that since the movie “A Knight’s Tail” came out. My son just turned 29 Jan 23, and he is 6 foot tall, has the hair as Heath and jaw, receding hair line, nose, eyes, smile, BUILD, personallity, charm and talent, plus much more! (if you only knew)
What can we do to get Derek linked up with the right people who would appreciate this?
When he was 2, I was standing behind him watching a TV commercial (a new one we never saw before), when It was over, out of his mouth came the whole commercial word for word!!! And words he never spoke before! I freeked! This told me of the talent he holds inside…“photographic memory”? Years later I told him “The profession that would be a match for your talent is acting”. Wow…now Heath Ledger dies? …and Derek has all this going for him (nowhere?) I don’t think so! I have a hunch this was meant to be!
PLEEEAAASE, if you know how we can link this guy up with the right people, let us know ASAP.
Or at least tell me how I can contact Anson Williams “Potsie” from Happy Days, I use to date him back in 1974. I’m sure HE will listen and trust me on this!
If everything works out for him from YOUR effort, I will make sure there will be a nice reward.
Joeswifemarie- As you may, or may not know, this is a Pixar fansite, and the majority of people here are Pixar fans, who don’t really have connections with Heath or talent agencies (for the most part). I reccommend that you don’t spam forums like this, but if you REALLY want to get your Heath look a like discovered, he can go to your local casting agency or something.
What makes me even more saddened by this (and I’ve mentioned this before previously) is that Heath was also working on his directorial debut, an adaptation of the book The Queen’s Gambit by Walter Tevis, with Scottish writer/producer Allan Scott. Heath had aspirations to become a film director and prepared by directing music videos and a short film. A few days after shooting started on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus , Gilliam said (and I quote) :
" Heath is extraordinary. He’s just so good, and he’s going to be a film director. He’s watching everything, and he’s going to be a much better director than I will ever be. "
It’s eight days later, and I still can’t believe it. This feels like a bad dream to me, and that I just, you know, want to come out of it. I’m so shocked, I… I just, I don’t know, it still doesn’t seem real to me. This is just too sad.
I also heard about this tragic event some days back. Death is a terrible thing, but it’s even worse when someone expires at such a young age. May Mr. Ledger rest in peace…
