Fairly Odd New Yorker - Ohh…don’t worry – it
made perfect sense.
Yes, I understand your point here. I also will “re-enact” the film
inside my head once I have viewed it several times, so as to see how much of it I remember – my sister does the
same, as well. Once I’ve got the movie down, word for word, I will quote the entire film (silently, of course;
just mouth movements) while watching it in the theater. And my sister will, too…
Let’s just say that
we sometimes get overly-obsessed.
It comes out somewhere around my birthday. This changes the numbers. once by myself, another with my family, and
one more if it is really good.
I?ll probably see Ratatouille about 2-3 times on opening day, all
together about 5-10 times.

JV - On opening day? Man, and I thought I was
obsessed.
Heheh – I plan to see it once or twice on the first day it is released. After which, I will
probably go to see it every weekend (Saturday/Sunday) until it leaves the theaters. I’m saving up my money for a
reason.
Mitch: No I mean 5-10 times all the time it is in theater, and just 2-3 times on opening day. 2
times guaranteed on opening day but hopefully 3 times.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Pixar film on opening day before…I remember when MI came
out, I saw it like a week after it opened, and it was still so packed, so I figured that there was no point even
trying to get a ticket on opening day for any future Pixar films.

JV - Yeah, I know – that’s what I meant. Heheh – sorry I
wasn’t clear enough.
lizardgirl - Heh – me neither. The only film I’ve
seen on opening day – at least, to my knowledge – is Happy Feet. So, that’s a
first for me; one of the first times I experienced exactly how full a little theater can get.
I doubt I’ll see it on opening day. maybe a week or two
after it has been released. On oening day, it is packed with kids, animation geeks, and even Pixar fans. The
week/day after that is where everyone else comes in.
TSS: I would wait to see Ratatouille to but
there is no way I would be able to wait 2 weeks after it opening in theaters.
Well, it isn’t going to be as crowded, but you will
still have a decent amount of people coming.
Yeah,
I’ll probably do the same as you, TSS. I can wait, and it will be less crowded so it’ll be worth it.

I can see what you guys mean about waiting an extra week or two after the release of
Ratatouille – the longer the wait…the less the people, unless the film turns out
to be overly-popular beyond recognition.
Me? I’m going to do what you will do, JV, and see the thing on
opening day. I fill almost the requirements on your “list” The Star Swordsman: I’m a kid-at-heart, an
animation geek, and a Pixar fan. I love rats too, so, that doubles it…
I have never seen a
single film on opening day. Not one. Not even any of the Star Wars movies - and I’m
probably one of the biggest Star Wars geeks you can ever find (not the kind who
dresses up like a Star Wars character everyday, but the kind who can pretty much
classify himself as getting a Star Wars Ph.D., if that existed
). Anyway, I guess
the only reason that I didn’t get the chance to see movies on opening day was because of my studies. After all,
most movies open during the weekdays.
As for Ratatouille, I actually might
be able to see it on opening day. Since I’m already in university, I would no longer have school in June. But it
all depends, because I have a feeling that my parents and my siblings will force me to see it on opening weekend
(and not opening day) so that our whole family can see it together - which certainly isn’t a bad idea.
I always
find it to watch on opening day rather complicated. Parking, crowded, etc. But I always get the best seat on a
later weekend. just make sure to get there really early.
I’m going to go to the first showing in
the morning on opening day. That’s what I did for Cars to and then I
saw it again that same night.
If I don’t see it within a week of it’s release, there’s bound to be people
online or in school who’ll spoil it for me. =P
Sorry I did not no were else to put this and I did Not want to make a new topic
for it.
Did any of you guys notice that The Restaurant in the Ratatouille is called ?Gusteaus!? referring
to the chef’s name "Auguste
Gusteau"?:

JV - So
that’s what the name of that restaurant is! I was trying to make it out, but
couldn’t…until now. Thank you.
Well…there goes my story. I called the cafe’
Mimi’s in my Ratatouille tale – it is the name of a
French restaurant just down the road from my house (it has the best food in the universe). Oh well…
Mitch: Your
welcome Mitch! I never noticed it to before I looked really good a read what it sayed. If you want to see it
really good watch it in HD 180p.

JV - Cool! I’ll take a look at that HD 180p resolution screen,
even if it’s too big to fit my computer screen. (snigger)
