How many times did you see Cars in Theaters?

I’m currently trying to

decide whether boycotting includes renting it from Blockbuster or not… :unamused:

Nice

loophole! I may just do that instead!

I saw it once, but I’m proud to say that it was this film that was the first

film I ever saw on a Premeire Weekend!!

Guess who gets

to see Cars in theaters for the seventh time tonight? Hooray for dinky little dollar theaters!

It?s still in theaters where you are. I wish it was still in

theaters here in Texas but it’s not.

Yeah, I think they’re

only showing it on Sundays in the middle of the day here, and I hate going to the cinema at midday.

Yeah, it’s not in the big cinemas, just the second-run

theaters and all.

I was completely wrong in thinking that it was a “dinky little dollar theater”

that I was going to last night, though. :open_mouth: This was probably the best showing I’ve seen of the movie so

far. It was one of those big old-fashioned movie theaters with brilliant decoration, looked practically like a

theater for stage performances, and they had the curtain and everything, and it was

amazing. And apparently on Saturdays they even have a 20, 25 minute segment

before the movie with an organ that come out of the floor that can make the sounds of pretty much any instrument,

which was quite fun. And fitting, since “One Man Band” was immediately after.

Probably the best

audience I’ve seen the movie with, too. I think it was the biggest audience, that’s for sure, and to tell the

truth it helped little old six-previous-viewings me remember where all the big, huge giant laughs were, and where

all little titters were, and a few of the gasps. And the theater burst into appluase after Guido’s pit stop.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve never heard the audience applaud something that happened in the movie in any of

them new-fangled cinemas. It was a great experience.

Wow! It’s like in that advert they show

before a movie at the cinema, warning viewers about the bad quality of pirate DVDs and how they’re not as good

as the real ‘cinema experience’. And at the end of the ad, they show an audience watching a film at the cinema

bursting into applause, and every time my friends and I see this part, we always comment on how that never

happens in cinemas, no matter how good the film. How wrong we were!

I only saw Cars once in theatres. I’m sure I’ll see it

again numerous times once the DVD comes out. It’s a truly brilliant film (not that this wasn’t obvious,

especially since it came from Pixar…)

Wow!! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/youwhaaa.gif” alt=“o_0;;” title="You

Whaaa…" /> Nice job…

I saw it approxiamately 11 times in

theaters (with my sister). After the first 3-4 viewings, Leia (my sis) and I used to go just so we could quote

the whole thing and “show off”.

I

usually do the multiple viewings on DVD (or VHS, during the heydays of home entertainment) instead of theaters.

On average, I’ve seen each Pixar film 3 times (not including Cars, because I’ve

only seen it once). But it’s really going to be a stretch for me to extend that number to the number of times

that I’ve seen the six Star Wars films, combined: 200 (approx.) That’s an average

of 33 viewings each (which isn’t that many compared to other Star Wars fans like

me. I mean, I remember reading from the Star Wars Insider magazine about this guy

who saw Episode IV over 3000 times! I think I’m a tad too busy to reach that mark:))

My dad has seen Episodes IV and V over 300 times…

Boooy is he gonna be jealous when I tell him that

someone has seen IV over 3,000…

How long did it take him to reach 300? Assuming that he’d go about watching ANH

and ESB at the same rate, just take the amount of time it took him to reach 300 then multiply that number by 9 to

get the amount of time he still needs to pass the 3000-viewings mark  I’m still pretty young so I might be

able to do that too, but my undergraduate studies are my main focus at this point.

I wonder if there

are any Pixar fans out there who has accomplished this feat (for Pixar movies, of course)… Me wonders…

You think that I would have thought of that – simple calculations!

Hmmm. Well, I don’t know how long it took him to see both films over three hundred (300) times, but I would

estimate it at about a year. So that means that, if my calculations are correct, it would take him at least 3,285

days to reach “the mark”. Did I get that right?

To comment on your second paragraph: Well,

I’ve seen Finding Nemo about 64 times; not alot, but it’s up there!

For me, surprisingly none

Gasp :astonished:

Oh well… You’ll catch up.

Now you see why I’m so anticipated for the DVD release (I

have to wait til the 27th Nov!)

Also, surprisingly I know quite alot about the film…

That’s too bad

that you guys have to wait twenty extra days for the Cars DVD release. On the other hand, don’t learn too much

about the film, otherwise you’ll spoil the surprise!

I already know (I tend to be those perculiar people who like reading spoilers) so basically I

already know what’s gonna happen, in fact I even piece together every trailer/clips I saw to make a resemblance

in my mind of how it’ll look. So I would say that I saw 25% of the film already…

i kno ! u can never get sick of the movie twice and some

screen shots since my movie was boring so i went to see if my favorite part (sh-boom) was on yet .
