How old are you guys?

Mitch: Well, I

can’t drive, I don’t work, etc. BUt I love my teen years.

I’m 21

and I’m also a teetotaler. Sobriety is tech.

I’m 21 and I don’t drink either…
Is there some weird relation between

“being a Pixar fan” and “no alcohol” ?

You can never be too

old/young to be a Pixar fan. If you ask me, I’ll be a fan to the day I die.

Archibald: It wouldn’t

surprise me. The good folks at Pixar pride themselves on films that are kid-friendly but appeal to everybody,

and I think the maturity that comes with appreciating a film that doesn’t have blood and guts could very well go

hand-in-hand with the maturity that comes with the making the decision to not drink.

Heheh…yeah, I hear ya’. The stuff is disgusting. (snigger) :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I’m glad you love them.

Wel…I may as well disclose my

age anyway: I’m seventeen and I’m not proud of it – heh.

Why not? Why don’t you

love your teen years?

The

Star Swordsman - (sigh) Let’s just say that I’ve had it hard

concerning…uhh…“medical” problems.

Pfff…here we go:

2-4 years

old - Two eye surgeries due to “lazy eye” problems.

6 years

old - Began to get signs of nasal congestion; worsened throughout the years.

10-12 years old - Surgery performed for nasal discomfort and congestion.

14 years of age - Got a small abscess/“thing” in throat – could

hardly breath for two months.

14 1/2 - 15 years of age - Second surgery

performed on nose. Almost worked, but didn’t due to lack of allergy shots and short use of Nasonex.

16 - Third surgery for nose performed when pain got so bad that it felt like

my brain was going to fall out. Surgery successful due to continued allergy shots, Nasonex (spray), Astelin

(spray), nasal rinse, numerous pills, etc.

17 - Small spot found on lungs.

Unsure as to what the cause of spot is, although results have, so far, come out negative. Is nothing serious,

thank goodness.

As of today, I am still taking the nasal rinse, Nasonex, Astelin, and now a new thing

where my mom has to “bang” on my lungs with this…thing…so as to supposedly “loosen” those

abscesses on my lungs. Frankly, I feel perfectly fine, even though I have to keep taking those stinkin’ pills

and the like in order to keep breathing…nasal-wise. If I wait more than a week to take my nasal sprays and

rinse, I will get pollups and things will go back to worse again. Simply speaking, if I don’t take that stuff, I

am unable to breath through my nose… :unamused:

Yay for winter – for the glorious days when the allergy

factor is low and the air is clear! :stuck_out_tongue:

Badda-bing. There you have it…

Ugh, you beat me:

7 years

old - 1st Mastoidectomy - An operation which opens up my ear and removes infected ear bones, which

are scraped clean and put back in.

10 years old - 2nd Mastoidectomy -

repeated due to reinfection

14 years old - 3rd Mastoidectomy - this time,

bones replaced completely with artificial bones.

As for drinking, I once sipped some red wine when I was

six, thinking it was Coke. It was disgusting. Maybe that’s why I’m teetotal now…

RMS - Woah – so you’ve had

quite a few surgeries too, eh? That’s makes two of us. But yeah, I beat you by two surgeries.

I’m surprised with a lot of your ages. No not in a offence way XD Good way.

Mostly everyone on here acts more mature then their age if you ask me…

Sixteen in two days! Yeah, I’m making the most of my teenage years right now. I don’t see what there’s

not to like about it- school is a secure place to go to, you learn so much, you go out with friends and have a

nice time, and you don’t have the responsibilities of an adult. The only downside is all the pressure with

exams, but that’s par for the course, really.

There must be some correlation with tee-totalling and

Pixar-loving, but I must admit, I do like a drink sometimes at parties and the like…I guess I’m at that time

when it’s fun to experiment. I’ve never been drunk or anything, and that’s what I don’t understand- why do

some people drink to get drunk? Isn’t it a horrible experience? Why would you want to inflict that on yourself?

It’s so strange.

Oh my! Super sixteen! I wish you an incedible birth. . . (maybe I’ll wait

until it is your birthday).

Lol,

thanks anyway!

I’m fourteen. Turing Fifteen in May.

Haha.

My parent’s let me try alchol once, just a taste, and honestly, I found it gross. I hate the taste of the

stuff.

Mitch - Your making me cringe just reading about all

those surgeries . :open_mouth:
I am freaked out by surgery and all that , you all beat me !

13- got pushed

by some kid into a fire alarm , causing my ear to rip . 7 stiches and pills 3/4 the size of my thumb . Not to

mention becoming sick the night after . dumb antibiotic .

so now i am afraid if i even hit my ear that i

have to go back . Especially since the day i got my stiches out , the dog kicked my ear and I had to go back .

Well , atleast it was the glue the 2nd time .

and my parents let me take one sip of champange on new years

. It’s not the best thing in the world , but it’s not that bad .

Meh, I never had a surgery- the worst thing that

happened to me was getting bitten in the ankle by a dog, my dog, who never forgot the taste. Had to be put down.

Otherwise, I have back problems and diabetes runs in my family. I have an attraction to sugar that’ll get me

killed one day, and I have a habit of falling/slipping/tripping on things, mostly down stairs.

To get back

on topic … or slightly … no matter how old I am, I’ll NEVER drink alcohol. My grandpa’s a prime example. He

lied about his drinking and now he’s got multiple heart problems and all that jazz. Most I’ll get ‘drunk’ off

of is soda. Luff soda. Diet, of course.

I agree with lizardgirl… why would you drink to get drunk? shivers I’ve had to hold up

too many peoples heads up while they’re drunk to want to get drunk myself. But i must say whiskey isnt that bad

 My dad gave me my first taste when i was a few days old… and i cant really get the chance to hate

alcohol because we live so close to the wine lands and drive out to taste at the farms every so often (but i find

it extremely hard to get drunk from tasting)

puts on scientific voice therefor drinking and alcohol does

not equal drunk

I’m 14. And I’m not ashamed.

I’m 15
