Here’s a letter I received from Pete Docter after writing to him telling him how much I love their films and how much Pixar has inspired me to pursue a career in film.

That is a very sweet letter! I like how he told you to go out and live life. I think that is advice we can all take to heart.
Did it take long for him to respond?
It took him about a week to respond but I wrote a pretty lengthy letter. It mostly had to do with how I’ve had little support in pursuing my career and study. Pixar has always been a support system of sorts and something I could always fall back on to be there. I talked about how I grew up watching their films and as I grow up I see how many lessons I’ve learned from movies meant for kids that still apply today. Sorry for the bad picture quality it was taken from my cellphone. I was also a little over excited when I saw the Mr. Incredible envelope that said Pixar on it addressed to me.
Pete is a very smart and caring guy. You are so lucky to get a letter from him! I wish you luck with your dreams!
