The Star Swordsman - Aww. I sure hope that’s not the case…
Here is
another picture that has been stuck in my head for a while:
Remy realizes that Emile is successfully setting his tail on fire. Emile, on the other hand, is completely
oblivious.
I really had alot of fun drawing this picture, and decided to touch it up by shading it
after I had finished sketching it out. Don’t ask me what Emile is reaching for though, as I’m not sure myself.
I think I was going to have him attempt to grab a cookbook from a shelf in Remy’s house, but there wasn’t
enough room left on the paper.
Ha! That’s pretty cute! I like it!

lennonluvr9 - (snigger) Heheh – thank you.

Eh – I was feeling
“sketchy”. Pencil and colored pencils were involved. This was just for fun, which is why it looks so
bad.
This is also the first time I have attempted (and finished) to draw Remy on model/scale. Didn’t
quite turn out the way I wanted it to, though.

My apologies concerning the fact that I haven’t drawn much lately. I just haven’t been in the
mood for sketching out Squeaker or any other Incredibles characters, which is why my
pencil has neglected to create any pictures of the said family/characters. I’ll get to it when I feel up to
it…
Well
here is one you haven’t done in a while. For the first time in months or so, you put color in.

Hehe – yep, I decided to color it in! I thought, "Ahh…what the heck? You’re
never gonna see an animated blue rat again, so I may as well spice up the picture a bit." I forgot to
mention that I didn’t add teeth to the little guy due to three reasons…
-
I was too lazy to do it,
-
I have difficulty drawing teeth, and
-
I didn’t want to.
I must say. You raw a lot better in color. it stands out
more.

Aww – well, thank you. I still hate
adding color to my pictures, since I think they look terrible, but I’ll take the compliment.
I’m
really hankerin’ to draw a very realistic, stylized rendition of Remy in a nervous pose. However, since I’m as
an amateur at shading as you can get, and because I still can’t draw like an expert, I’ll have to wait on it.
Either that, or shoot for the stars. I just might try it for kicks…
Oh, and I also might draw Colette
too, so keep an eye out.
You are welcome. And I’ll keep my eyes open.

Nice drawing Mitch!!!
Are you doing any more Ratatouille ones soon?
Mitch

Edna - Heheh – thank you! And yep, I just did one.
Here ya’
go…
I was practicing with my animal anatomy skills – shoulders particularly – , and as you can see…they
aren’t very good. I’m still working on it and this was just a sample I did last night.
Seriously, I’m
considering striving for a career in animation now. I stayed up late last night just so I could have fun drawing,
which is saying something.
I’ll attempt to draw Colette soon. I really want to make her look good, so
I’ll actually spend some quality time on this sketch.

Your welcome Mitch!!
Oh sorry I did
not know you were making one.
Nice drawing Mitch keep up the great work!!!
Nice
work. I can’t draw with a hoot you make it look so easy.

Great Remy drawing! Keep up the great work!

Edna - Oh no, it’s
perfectly alright. Don’t feel bad at all.
And thank you! But seriously, that is one of the worst Remy
drawings I have ever done. (snigger)
Texas - Heheh – much obliged. As long
as you keep practicing, you too can become a great artist! It’s taken me more than ten years and this is still
only the best I can do. It takes a while…
Bill - Thanks,
Bill!
It’s funny – the drawings that I really hate are the ones that everybody else likes.
Yeah its just not my thing.
Well, it looks nice. Just two suggestions for you though. Maybe you could put some color into your drawings? And
my next one is to expand a bit. Don’t limit yourself to just rats.
Mitch

Texas - Yeah, not everyone
is into drawing. That’s perfectly alright with me. We all have our own, special interests.
The Star Swordsman - Mmm…yeah, I should add some color to more of my
drawings. However, my style is one of black and white…more often than not. The thing is, my favorite way to
color my drawings is in Photoshop, but since I can hardly ever do this…I just usually avoid coloring. I’ll try
to get back into it, though. I found a nice collection of colored pencils that I’ve currently been using.
Amen to that! Thanks for the tip. I’m going to expand, all right. I’m going to do Colette, Nemo, Boo, a
bunch of other characters soon. I’m starting to get sick of drawing rats myself.
In my opinion, you do a great job of drawing Rats. I know
how excited you are of Ratatouille. But I am sure you can do equally as good with another movie that you really
love.

The Star Swordsman - Heheh
– well, thanks.
I just realized that I did draw a picture of a character
from Finding Nemo a while back, so here it is:

Trust me, it looks alot better on the original paper. You can barely make out the
shading on the right hand side of Pearl, and it’s really dark compared to the original sketch. But, other than
that, I kind of like it.
