I finally realized why I’m so
upset, and it’s all thanks to three little letters (P, M, and S). You girls would understand. (snigger)

I love it , it’s so cute !! Remy’s muzzle ( the part that connects the nose to the face ) looks really
nice . I don’t know why that stuck out like that , but I like it .
Although it could have been
colored in a bit darker . But , I’m not a fan of really light colors and I know how you don’t like to color in
your pics , although you have been doing that a lot lately .

Heheh – thank you very much! I really don’t like the
muzzle that much, so I’m glad you’re fond of it. (snigger)
Yeah, I could have colored it in a little
darker, but I hate coloring in my pictures…so I didn’t make it too dark (although I should have, as you know).
But yeah – The Star Swordsman says that when I color my pictures they look better,
so I decided to take his advice. Come to think of it, they do look good in color.
Off-Topic - Woah – those are your initials? I think it’s kind of cool,
actually. Too bad it symbolizes the umm… Well, you get what I mean.

The Star Swordsman - Well, I’m gonna get to that Nemo picture for
sure…when I have the time. I also recently did a sketch of my original character – Genevieve – that I am
going to color up for my deviantArt ID. If you would like to see it how it is now (in black and white), I’d be
more than happy to submit it.
After that, I’m not sure. I really want to draw Boo, but human
characters are so difficult to “anatomize”!

thought you would like to see what my mom’s and dad’s style looks like. I asked them to draw Remy a while back,

As you can see…dad has the cartoon-y technique and
skill down, while mom puts style and realism into her art. This is exactly how I wish I could draw,
but…unfortunately…I’m gonna need a little more practice. Mom and dad have been animators for over 40 years,
so…

Heheh – oh yeah, they’ve been in
the animation business for a long time now. Dad drew his Remy picture in about two seconds.
Aww…don’t say that. The more you practice…the better you’ll get.
I think I get what your dad did for remy’s head , he
found a spot that had a simple shape .
gottalovepixar - Exactly. In the world of animation there are three basic shapes:
the circle, the triangle, and the cylinder. (I think I got those right.)
Looking at the picture again,
you can see the basic shapes that my dad laid out to “build” Remy’s body figure:
Eyes, head,
body, ears, hands, and nose are circles.
Snout is a triangle.
Arms are cylinders.
Even the tail
has kind of a cylindrical shape to it, if you think about it. Look at my avatar and signature of Remy, and you
can see the same shapes.
Maybe it is just my computer, but
the remmy pic looks a little faded. My suggestion would be pencil harder?
The Star Swordsman - Hmm. Well, dad did draw the picture kind of light, so maybe
that’s why it’s harder for you to see it on your monitor? Either that, or you computer screen just has a light
setting to/on it. I’m not sure.
Don’t ask me to darken it up though, because that’s my dad’s drawing.
Oh, I thought it was yours. But I must say, your dad is really good. I like it.
