And about Mr. Pricklepants, no matter how small his part in the movie is, I’ve loved him since I first saw him. I think his design is wonderful!
That’s interesting about his name in Latin American countries, lord_zedd. I wonder why they chose to do that in the dub.
Because mr pricklepants sounds awfull in spanish, so they gave him…and even more awfull name : Mr spikes.

Yes, that’s because Mr. Spikes is translated as"Señor Espinas" in Spanish, while, Mr. Pricklepants would be something like “Señor Pantalones Espinosos”, which would be awful.
I thought they would preserve the English “Pricklepants” word. After all, they didn’t translate “Lightyear” or “Slinky”.
But I don’t care anymore, once I can own it on home video, I’ll never see it on Spanish ever again

They translated ALL of the new characters names in the swedish dub. They’re so awful, I don’t even know how to translate Mr. Pricklepants name from the dub. Okay ( well, I used google translate so it might be very wrong) it’s The conifer cone… LOL But in swedish it’s “Kotten”.

The way I see it, Bonnie’s dad is some kind of traveling businessman, and he bought her Pricklepants in England, and Totoro in Japan.
You know ,that makes sense Reaper052 its a shame we dont get to see bonnies father in the movie, it could have explained where did totoro and mr pricklepants came from
He surely looks expensive. The perfect way he’s stuffed and the type of fabric he’s made of… I’m pretty sure he’s a luxury toy.
I think he may be a present from someone who made a trip to Germany. He looks like a travel or airport souvenir.

You actually can see Bonnie’s dad in the background of the final scene, working in the garden.
You dont see venezuelans on the internet that are not from caracas

Anyway back to mr pricklepants, another theory is that mr pricklepants its actually a gift from an uncle or aunt, if mr pricklepants was a gift from his father she would have some kind of…sentimental atachment to him, like andy and woody.
Also he seems to have a very definite personaliti, so im asuming that in the pixar universe Mr pricklepants appears in a tv show in germany
