New WALL-E full trailer

Oh, MAN, I could not help but grin ear-to-ear during this whole thing. I’M SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! I’m just gonna watch this thing over and over and over and over and over and over again.

bounces I CAN’T WAIT!!! And I have a feeling I’m going to be a big WALL-E/E.V.E shipper.

Archibald - Dude, your signature is stinkin’ AWESOME!!!

And I forgot to say, welcome, Porro! And you’re not alone, it’s rather humid here in Florida. How hot is it there?

Edited. I combined both of your posts. – Mitch

Well that’s the same Hello Dolly scene just a different angle. The theme of Hello Dolly is loneliness and at the end of the movie, after Walter Matthau sings about how lonely he is, he gets his girl just like everyone else in the movie does and no one is left alone. Slight similarity to WALL*E’s theme.

Welcome to the site Pörrö and thanks for the hi-def international trailer.

I know, 11:05 and I almost broke my mouse from refreshing so much :unamused:

WALL*E sounds cuter than EVE!

Thanks everyone, I feel welcomed already

It’s +2’C now all the snow (and there wasn’t much to begin with) is melting, it’s about 35F I guess. I’m a bit cranky with the whole winter thing or the lack of it. Worst winter that I’ve seen this year.

Okay, I updated the links on the previous post, so they can be saved normally.

Did anyone notice that the human was clearly a cartoon? I assumed that the humans in this movie would be realistic since they have a live action actor in the movie. This isn’t going to be one of those retarded cartoons meet real people things like space jam is it?!

C’mon, they both sound awesome :stuck_out_tongue: I think Ben Burtt (I believe that’s him?) did an amazing job on the “dialogue”.

I’m speechless…

Once again, Pixar seems to have done no wrong as far as film-making is concerned. The ball has been hit out of the park and it has kept on sailing over the twenty-year mark. If that day should ever come when the studio fails to tenderly decant something into a bowl of roseation and delectation it will be a sad one indeed.

The trailer itself was, to me, definitely out of the ordinary and not at all what I expected it to be. For some reason, I always imagined the production of WALL-E to be composed on a slightly darker note; and perhaps the reason behind this resulted from an envisioned fantasy of mine… which was, in turn, combined with the original teaser trailer to formulate something quite dramatic, if not Shakespearian.
Setting this aside, the official trailer for WALL-E is, in my childish eyes, more than reminiscent of past events that took place in my childhood – pleasurable instances, although long forgotten. Simply put, I feel that when I finally view this film in its entirety I will recall one thing or another from my earlier life that I had ceased to remember until that time. Henceforth, I wait on tenterhooks to see this production.

As for the overall content, direction, and numerous other aspects of the trailer – including insight into its many characters, stunning visual effects, and magnificent score – it looks bloody brilliant in my opinion, as I’m sure it does to the rest of you guys. From what we (and I) have witnessed, the film seems to be almost a cross between a child’s theater play and a scientific exhibition (of course). And, as is the norm, the amount of information given is overwhelming, yet it lingers on the mysterious side of the island at the same time. Naturally, Pixar Animation Studios tends to keep everything on a covert level, preferring to seclude their innumerable secrets until the very last second. WALL-E seems to be no exception. I have an idea of what the whole plot will amount to be, but, then again, I have absolutely no clue…

What will these secrets spell? I simply must unveil them, as will we all on June 27th. Pixar, you’ve done it again…

[spoil]By the way, you know that moment where WALL-E is ejected in the escape pod and crashes against the window of the little vessel? Look at that background. That’s beyond “Star Wars-ian” if you ask me… :stuck_out_tongue: [/spoil]

Porro - Welcome to Pixar Planet!

Glyph - The one thing Pixar never is is “retarded”.

– Mitch

Glyph - you actually used the word “retarded” ? I’m not very PC not all, actually Anti-PC really, but grow up man.

Usually, when a trailer looks as spectacular as this one (and I have never seen one that even came close), the following rules apply:

  1. the movie will be far worse
  2. it will totally suck in terms of storytelling
  3. every shot from the movie that’s worth watching is already shown in the trailer
But thankfully this is a Pixar movie we are talking about…

After seeing this new trailer, I have to agree with Woody: WALL-E does indeed go to infinity and beyond.

Did anyone notice that when WALL-E was watching the movie [spoil]that the treads on his wheels were missing? Strange…[/spoil]

Spiderman 3 falls under the first category. Most expensive movie because of its advertising budget that made many to believe that it would be the best Spiderman when it was just plain BAD.

PIXAR trailers have never left me impressed, if the trailer was my lone reason for seeing it than I probably wouldn’t go, but all the movies have surpassed my expectations, especially Brad Birds latest.

PIXAR has never done wrong and their track record alone is enough reason to see WALL-E but this trailer actually makes you have to see it.

Do you think WALL•E is going to have a sneak peek like Ratatouille had last year?

^I wish. That 9-min preview really gave me a taste of what a movie I wasn’t excited about really had to offer.

Fingers crossed.

“It was commanded by the Animation Gods that the good news be written down for all to read ~ The Illusion of Life”

Baloney. Interesting book with useful information, but also inaccuracies, narrowminded claptrap, and outright revisionist history by two VERY political, albeit personally talented, animators.

That said, the Wall-e trailer is really nice.

^You certainly know how to ruin a joke. Your review of the book was kinda randomly off -topic. Guess I’ll have to think of something else for my sig that won’t lead to debate.

CartoonBoy- You know there’s a section on the Off-Topic board about sigs, and it’s very rude to put someone down for what they believe. He thinks that quote is meaningful, and never asked you for an opinion. if you really feel like speaking about it, do it in a respectful manner and on the respective board.
Now this is way Off-Topic and I don’t wnat to sound like a mod, so just foget about it Skippy, I think that quotes great, keep it.
On Topic- I found an recent article on Jim Hill Media about the new trailer, he explains the little details behind it. Now I ahve two warnings:

  1. It has a bit of spoilers
2)It’s written by Jim Hill so all of you who don’t like his opinion may not want to read it and get offended (although this time it isn’t nearly as close to his Ratatouille bashing)
Speaking of WALL-E and CartoonBoy, remember when you said the Pixar camera technology was “old”, well obviously it isn’t, has anyone done a realistic 70’s camera effect, I think not…

Just saw Horton Hears a Who! and it had the WALL*E trailer before it (got a good reaction from the audience).

As for Jim Hill, I love his articles, and just don’t understand why people put him down.

yea i saw a longer trailer for WallE too when i was watching Jumper.(which was a good movie)
i thought it was ADORABLE
omg im watching horton hears a who tomorrow,
im gonna see the trailer again!
YAYYY

I saw HHaW, too. It got the most noise out of people in the audience, giggles, of course!
The loudest squeals probably came from me, though…

Well, what should I say…? THIS MOVIE LOOKS SO EPIC!

It’s as if they crossed Star Wars with Toy Story! The trailer is everything it should be: funny, engaging, heartwarming, clever, and it just looks like this is going to be a blast! I so can’t wait for it… I just know people are going to be talking about this trailer, especially kids. Speaking of which, this movie is going to make me feel like a kid again. This so great! I want to watch this over and over again, but don’t want to read too much into the trailer and spoil the plot points.

My favourite parts: uh… all of it? [spoil]When WALL•E and MO were introducing themselves, and basically WALL•E doing anything was amusing. Heheh. I also thought the humans would be a lot fatter, though. I love how EVE basically doesn’t give a damn about what happens to WALL•E, really (in a nice way).[/spoil]

Maybe he was taking his “shoes” off after a hard day’s work.

Yeah! I caught onto that the first time. It’s cool how they are giving an homage to it. I hope I’m not building up this movie too much, but this could be the “Star Wars” for this generation.

rachel - Hey, yeah! Star Wars blended with Toy Story… Nice analogy.

Goodness knows the Star Wars geeks could use a little more space-related productions to chew on. I rest in peace knowing that there are fans of the films at Pixar Animation Studios. (snigger)
