Interesting news on this front. I did not spot the Zurg itself at the disney store, but something interesting, possibly bad
I noticed a New Toy in the same box as the other full sized figures, and its was a LOTSO (new one) with a Woody. Why is this bad you ask? My prediction: Zurg is in a two pack with Buzz and will be $50 instead of $25

That doesnāt necessarily mean they wont release them separately as well. Didnāt they also do a buddy pack of sorts (full scale) with Buzz and woody? And when you say new lotso, is it really a different one, or just a repackaged old one? sometimes the multi toy packs just come in when sales get low and they want to give them a perceived higher value.
I do hope he pops up soon, weāre getting to the point where there about to miss 2012 I think. If its coming before Christmas it has to be shown somewhere else by mid November at the latest doesnāt it?
Not saying is guaranteed, just my prediction. Th Lotso was similar to another plus Disney Store Lotso, although there were some differences (a cane as one example). I think heāll have to pop up soon as well, but I asked a DS employee and she said they always have one āChristmas toyā thats super late, every year and it never fails. Zurg might be later than the normal Christmas Toys.
I donāt know, my opinion from the beginning was "why zurg? Why now? (13 years after TS2), but having a Buzz/Zurg two pack actually makes a lot of sense. Not to mention it would undoubtedly move Buzzes for them (from people like us) who just want Zurg. Iām hoping thats the not the case, but from a marketing standpoint, it actually makes sense

Hmmmmmm. I hope that it is at least Utility Belt Buzz and Zurg since thatās the only āversionā of Buzz which appeared on screen with Zurg (from memory).
It is a shame that Zurg isnāt being sold by himself. But, I guess it was unlikely that he was going to come in a āreplicaā box based on the box glimpsed in Toy Story 2, so itās not a major issue (apart from the added expense of having to buy another Buzz).
Iām looking forward to seeing photos of the final product!
Having the buzz be a Utility belt buzz would actually be great for me since I havenāt bought one yet, but if its not going to be the TSC version Iām not even interested. And of course the lack of a replica box means Iāll end up buying the previous release regardless when I can. If thereās nothing that sets it above the TSC version then at least I can just sell it. Watch them do some kind of talkback feature forcing me to keep it though. heh
Yeah, even a utility belt disney store buzz isnt worth it. If Zurg was actually thinkway then the set would be awesome, but its not
After all the hype I hope the zurg is decent. Lucky I did not sell my boxed thinkaway zurg

See $50 in Uk is quite good cos its only Ā£30 and tsc lotso is Ā£45 so itās not bad only thing is disney store USA want like $ 35 for shipping
Zurg looks decent and height accurate at 15" heāll tower over Buzz. Glad to read his eyes and mouth will blink as he speaks and his canon thing will work. Donāt really need the extra Buzz as I have an unopened TSC Buzz and opened TSC UB Buzz but at lesat this one has new phrases. I might bring this one to work for my desk. I can activate the phrases when my co-workers ask me to do work! HA!
Well we dont know if his gun works yet. At least not like in the film. All iit says is the balls go spinning.
