Official Teaser/Trailer Discussion

Why are we spoil proofing a info on a commercial with no movie footage or plot points?

Anyway, it seems they are making good use of Blake, putting slink in everything they can, heh. its like their trying to show the public that while Jim will be missed, Blake sounds just as good.

I was just being super careful and considerate. Sorry.

could u link to unrelated video so we can see it please?

My computer glitched, so sorry for the double post. As for the link, here’s the video that the ad was in front of. youtube.com/watch?v=90VyvOhPmA0&feature=fvw Sometimes it plays different ads or none at all so you might want to try multiple times.

thanx small mailman

Better to err on the side of caution, Kyle. Thanks for being considerate, Small Mailman… if in doubt, just spoiler-tag it. It doesn’t take long to highlight a piece of spoiler text to read anyway…

is this the hamm mailman ad that was mentioned??? [url]USPS Toy Story 3 Commercial - StitchKingdom.com - YouTube

Yes! I thought I couldn’t see it outside of United States. Thanks you and thanks You Tube

Cool, now we just need the kellogs one.

By the way, I don’t really get the joke at the end. “shouldnt he be on a leash?”.
I mean, that would make sense if he did something annoying, like proved somebody wrong or something, but as it is, its just kinda random.

I’m just a bit annoyed at the absurdity of spoiling a target ad is all…but whatever.

Yeah that kind of bugged me too. I mean, it was kind of a corny joke since mailmen and dogs are supposed to be enemies, but it didn’t really make any sense since Slinky is an anthropomorphic dog and Hamm is a pig. Also they have a friendly rapport from the previous films so why should Hamm want him restrained?

Ahh, now I get it. The joke fell completely fat for the reasons you stated. but at least I get what they were trying to do.

Hey guys, the Target commercial is on Target’s official website: target.com/Toy-Story-Favorit … e=13653771

After watching this clip, I really, really love how spot on Blake Clark’s voicing of Slinky Dog is. If you were completely new to the Toy Story films, and just watching the films from back to back, I bet you couldn’t even tell they were different actors.

Yeah, oddly enough, Rex sounds more off there than Slink, and he still has his original actor. haha

thanks for finding this.

No problem, I’ll keep my eye out for more Toy Story 3 clips.

I know what you’re saying about Rex. Maybe Wallace Shawn couldn’t make it to the recording session the day that they recorded the voices for the ad.

Nah, I’m almost positive that’s Wallace Shawn, to be honest he sounds off in a lot of new material, including TS3 itself. basically he sounds great when he uses his higher register and he’s shouting a bit, but whenever he brings his voice down to a more calm tone it kinda breaks character. His voice has changed as he aged, he cant do it like he used to, depending on the line and tone it takes. another example of him sounding off is when in one of the trailers he says “Andy never played with us like that”

I think Wallace even alludied to the fact that he sounds different in a recent interview. And by recent I mean somewhere around 2008.

Also, wasn’t quite sure if anyone managed to TiVO the latest Toy Story 3 clip was shown at 8:00 on the Disney Channel, but I couldn’t find it anywhere online. I could honestly give a rat’s lower backside about the show that contained it, but I guess Disney really needed PIXAR’s help in order to boost it’s ratings.

Anyhow, I posted the video on my Flickr channel, so hopefully it won’t get pulled down as soon as it might be on youtube. Enjoy!:

Also, I’m really sorry the video is kinda narrow. It got kinda altered when I was transferring my tivo recording.

Love the video Pixar Builder. Can it be uploaded to youtube? -Omar

Yeah, probably. I just don’t want my account to be suspended.

So apparently Buzz’s attempt to open the door wasn’t a failure like the original trailer led us to believe.
