Oh my.

This is the first time I’ve seen this:

I’m so alone… : (

Off Topic: I wonder why the sad smiley picture doesn’t work properly for me? All it displays for me is this blue face getting annoyed then crossing his eyes.

Yeah. I get lonely like that at times, too. :frowning:

You have to type in this to activate the emoticon: : - ( (minus the spacing)

sometimes happens to me, aswell.

I don’t think I’ve ever been the only person on Pixar Planet at a single time, at least, not for a while.

I was never the only person on Pixar Planet, however, I have seen 1-3 members on this site and no more. Kinda crazy.

it’s a matter of timezone, really.

Well, at least you had the 22 guests with ya! Sometimes I’ll log on and about 10+ users will be online, but sometimes I’ll be the only one - so lonely! But it’s usually because everyone else is sleeping in another time zone. It doesn’t happen so much now, where I’m the only one online because of the increase in members, and also more members who are in similar time zone as me.

EDIT: Also, the most popular time of the week for US visitors seems to be on a Friday night. :sunglasses:

Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. There may have been a time where two other members and myself were the only ones browsing the forums, but a good percentage of the time… there’s well over ten people posting along with me.

I’m gonna back this statement up by saying that I was usually always on Pixar Planet on Friday nights before I got my laptop back. This was because Friday is the only time my dad hangs out with his buds until, ohhh, two or three o’clock in the morning, so I got to surf on his computer for hours. :stuck_out_tongue:

i’ve gotten close to being alone only becuase i’m sometimes on at 11 West Coast time…that is only when TSS isn’t on.

It gets down to 2-3 users on with myself.

Now it’s my turn. :open_mouth: Hello…anybody home? :stuck_out_tongue: Wow, this is the first time that’s happened to me on this forum too!

Bigger version:

I think I was online before that, thedriveintheatre, but I logged off. But usually there’s at least a few other Aussies at that time… I like your FF WALL•E theme! Oh, and I can see my graphics thread was open in one of your tabs, ha ha.

I use that WALL-E theme too! On my main PC that is.

I will say that on most evenings that I’m on Pixar Planet, there will be a couple of others online too, but for some reason, usually no-one will be posting anything. The later I go on, the more this happens, though I’ve no idea why. Perhaps some people are permenantly logged on?

You can do that but i suffer from the same thing…until TSS comes on at about 6-9 here in Arizona.

It is almost stone quiet till then…rather scary. Its like PP is dead… :open_mouth:

Oh, yeah. I was commenting on your Stanton sig and TSS’ Violet ‘Invisible’ music video when I noticed the ‘Currently Online’ box.

Pewpewpew5522: It’s an awesome theme isn’t it? My bro started voicing Wall-E when he noticed it and I was embarassed…

lizardgirl: Yeah, it’s weird when there’s lots of people online but when you refresh after 15 minutes there’s little to no change to forum postings… I notice most of the participation happens in the morning in Oz (which is…what? Late evening the previous day in the US?)

Al-Bob: I talk in a car chase forum, and it’s ‘dead’ pretty often… :frowning:

Sometimes people log-on but turn off their computer or leave Pixar Planet but forget to press the log-out button. So they seem like they’re online, but they’re not. And some other people ‘lurk’, as in, they created an account not to post, but to keep track of threads that they read.

I’ve been alone a couple of times, it’s wierd, it feels like you’re walking through a street, lait
at it’s quiet cold and dark… a couple of street lights on…well, that’s what I think of it.

Yeah, but there’s always at least a few guests with you. So it’d be more like walking down a dark street with a few street lights on, with shadows lurking.

Geek clarification The forum software assumes someone as being active until a certain number of minutes (usually 15) after their last page view. There’s no actual back and forth between the server and a persons computer when someone is just viewing a page so that’s the only way to actually have a “Who’s Online” list.

I just quoted a post from months ago. Heh.

Yeah, I know. My point was just because it shows people as online, it doesn’t necessarily mean those members are online. I would like to know exactly how long the minutes are, because sometimes I go away from the computer and don’t want to come back and it’s logged me out 'cause then I lose all my post notifications. I think it may even be 30 mins here.
