Great job MissCarrera! I always love those kinds of happy endings to weddings. I’m kind of new to reading this fan fiction but I’m glad to see Doc Hudson here since he was my favorite character in the original Cars.
Aww cute,but one thing…I don’t think Sally would be calling Lightning “McQueen”…it sounds akward…but other than that it’s good… 
Ballboi: Yeah, I tried to make sure the other members of RS still got mention in the story. Doc will have a bigger role in the sequel as well.
CarsLuver: The reason I had her call him that was because she was scolding him, you don’t typically use a pet name when you are trying to get someone in trouble. I suppose Stickers would have worked there also though.
Hmmm, what could go wrong in such a seemingly perfect ending?
Still, great job, despite i’m the only active male viewer of this fanfic! Very touching and affectionate!
Awwwww, they re-married?! I suspected that since there were sitting together and stuff but that’s so sweet. Lightning must be more than happy about that. I love Guido as a rim-bearer, so cute! <3 And Lizzie with the bumper stickers? That cracked me up; " That crazy old devil woman." 
Ahahaha, yes! Justin got to be in there one last time and McQueen still has his eyes on him. (There’s no squinty eye smiley… does “I’m watching you” hand motion You know what I mean.) ONE LAST CHAPTER. I am looking forward to and dreading this chapter at the same time…bittersweet.

CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE
The cake had been saved for the evening and now that the sun was down everybody was back in town. They clustered outside of Flo’s V8 Café eager to see it. After a short time, Mater emerged from the shop towing the four-tier cake on a trolley.
“As your best-car I took the liberty of makin’ the topper mahself!” Mater grinned proudly and moved so they could have a good look at the cake. Sure enough, on the tallest tier sat a McQueen bobble toy alongside a model of a Porsche that had been painted an off shade of blue.
“It’s wonderful, Mater! Thank you so much,” Sally gushed.
McQueen couldn’t help noticing a small smear of icing in the corner of his friend’s mouth and commented, “I see that’s not the only thing you took liberty in doing.”
Mater licked around his lips until he found the icing, “I had to be sure it wasn’t poisoned!”
McQueen laughed, “Well, thank you, Mater.”
“No problem, buddy! Now you’s two hurry and eat ‘er up! DJ says I can do the first cruise announcement and I can’t wait much longer,” the tow truck winked and drove backwards out of Flo’s.
“If I didn’t know any better I’d say that Mater might just be having a better time than us!” Sally chuckled.
“You can say that again! But he’s got a good point; I’d like to get cruising.”
“You do, huh?”
“Yes, I’ve had enough of sharing you with the guests…I want you all to myself,” McQueen’s voice drawled with a hint of seduction.
“Stickers!” Sally smiled foolishly, “I ought to tell your mother!”
“While you’re at it, tell her I did this too,” McQueen hooted and swung his tire through the lowest portion of cake.
Sally screamed in surprise when she was hit square in the bumper with the soft pastry. Like a chain reaction, there was cake being flung among all the cars in seconds. And just as fast as it had begun, it was over just as quickly. Sopping excrements of cake ran down the pumps and icing splattered the windows. Mater, who had stayed at a distance during the fight, now flew forward to indulge in what was still left on the platter. “If I’d-a known this was gonna happen I woulda taken seconds earlier!” he cried indignantly, devouring the leftovers.
After they were all hosed down by Red it was finally time for the dance to begin. As promised by DJ, Mater was given the microphone. He cleared his windpipe and horked a little too close to the mic before announcing his part, “Ladies and gentlecars! Fer their first cruise, please welcome the neeew Mr. and Mrs. McQueen!”
DJ cued the music and McQueen and Sally snuggled closely together as they drove leisurely down the strip. The neon lights flashed brilliantly and the notes of a piano poured out from around them. More couples linked up and cruised romantically, listening to the smooth lyrics…

As the song ended, McQueen parked at the end of the street, and with Sally beside him they sat in tranquil silence, observing all the happy cars around them. These cars are my family too now, McQueen reminded himself. It was hard to believe that they were now truly bonded to one another for eternity.
He could already imagine a future for the; one full of fun times, children, a house and plenty of undying love. And next season Chick would be banned from racing with 20 well-deserved years of jail time. Then he’d win a Piston Cup for sure. But there was so much time before that, time he could spend with Sally, and hopefully his parents too.
He felt Sally rest her weight against him, followed by the touch of a cool liquid. “Sally? Don’t cry, babe, it’s our wedding day…you’re supposed to be happy.”
She smiled sweetly and whispered back, “I am.”

I hope everyone was pleased with this happily-ever-after. Well, it's only temporary until I get the sequel out! :stuck_out_tongue: So, the song I chose for their first cruise was "Something About The Way You Look Tonight" by Elton John, so major props and credit to him for those lyrics! I went through four other songs until I picked this one! First it was "Find Yourself" but that wa too predictable and unoriginal, then I chose "Sh-Boom" but that wasn't setting the right mood, then I wanted "When You Kiss Me" but I felt it was a little too humanized and then it was "Lost" by the total romantic ballad master Micheal Buble (Canadian ftw!) and then I settled on this one. I just heard the lyrics and I could not think of a more perfect song for the pair of them! <3 Anyway, on to the thank you's...

38 chapters and baby, it all comes down to this! (You get a bunch of extra awesome points if that sounds somewhat familiar. ) The ending of this story was like eating a just-out-of-the-oven batch of chocolate chip cookies. It makes you all warm and fuzzy inside and you just want more. <3 I give you a 4/5 (Don’t want to make your head get too big now. JK.) The reason is because you were a little rocky in the beginning with grammar and storyline but it was your first story- been there, done that. I could see as the story went on and you got more reviews and comments, your confidence in the story started to grow as well and in turn, caused you to write better. By the middle to end chapters, I kept getting blown away from your creative language and phrases combined with your character interactions plus the DRAMA AND SHIPPER GALORE. Round of applause + Standing ovation to you, MissCarrera! I believe you and I have bonded over this piece of fanfiction as writer and reader and maybe even as friends. Stunning… beautiful… amazing… just, wow. I love the story! I’m so sorry that I’m just now getting around to reading it. It’s awesome though. I give it 4/5 stars… like others said, due to the first chapters. But man, those later chapters were so amazing… I’d give them 5/5. I think my favorites are the one where Lightning remembers his parents, and then when he and Sally make up. That one seriously had me choked up, it was so emotional. And I love all the creative lines you had in there… there are just too many that I liked for me to write them all down. And to live up to my grammatical critique reputation (thanks for the shoutout, by the way )… the spelling, the writing, the structure… everything was so great. I could read this like my other favorite novels and become so immersed in the story that I forget I’m reading a book. Anyways, as I already said, astounding job!

Hey, you’re welcome! And another thing I forgot to mention earlier was the idea of Lightning’s parents being a Viper and a Corvette… I can’t remember if you came up with that, but I thought it was so cool. I absolutely love both of those cars, and the Corvette is my all-time favorite.
Yes, that was my idea. I explained how the Viper resembles McQueen’s normal make and how the Corvette resembles his make during the cruising scene. Corvettes are awesome, I must agree!
