Pixar parodies in Cartoon Network's MAD

Did anybodye else think it was weird that [spoil]Lenny was in Rejected Toy Story 3 Characters[/spoil]

Snake&Robot: Haha, I didnā€™t even notice!

[spoil]I watched the new episode & there were no Pixar references at all[/spoil]

Shameā€¦ was it the ā€˜Pirates of Neverlandā€™ episode?

Yes, thedriveintheatre Thatā€™s the one.

So I finally got down to watching the Wall-E-Nator parody episode. I was kinda okay with it, I guess. At least they werenā€™t as pointless as the Married Life gag in The Simpsons. I also like the way how the creators made a joke at their own expense by implying that they produced ā€˜trashā€™, as well as the various cameos being ā€˜cubedā€™. And they made Wall-E look like a bad-*ss (though the ending was a bit nutty).

If you havenā€™t seen it yet, you can watch it online, thanks to the power of altruistic users, Tivo and Youtube.

Wall-e-Nator MAD episode

WALL-E looks hella kick**s with those glasses!

Agreed, the Wall-E-Nator skit wsa my favorite, and Wall-E is such a bad*ss in it  , but the rest of the episode is dissapointing. I was kind of expecting EVE to break into the curch at the end, but it was still funny

he, that one was funny, Wall e looks so cool  althought i was expecting eve to appear on the wedding

What was so bad about the college humor video?

the funniest part of the wall e nator episode is:

"Next week well remade this house:

Dr house: WHAT???

(Gets crushed)"

Well, I believe there are one or two Pixar college humour parodies, so to clarify, the one Iā€™m talking about is ā€˜The Sordid Story of the Pixar Lampā€™. The title should give you a clue as to the tone they employed, which was mocking, scornful, and in poor taste. I mean, the fact that they pointed out the fact that the lamp ā€˜killedā€™ a letter was funny in a dark way, but they carried the joke too far, and there was no ā€˜punchlineā€™ or ā€˜twistā€™ at the end (He just gets executed after a series of demeaning and humiliating actions). It was mean, cynical, and basically unfunny.

The Up spoof was also rather deplorable at the end, but it is somewhat redeemed by the cute montage which paid tribute to the original sequence while changing a few aspects of it.

Wall-E-Nator was a good parody because it didnā€™t torture or debase the character (except Shelby, but he probably deserved it, and he didnā€™t die anyway) and it actually made Wall-E look cooler! The punchline of him [spoil]marrying a printer-scanner machine[/spoil] was a neat nod to Eve and was funny without being malicious.

There seems to be a lot of WALL-E references lately. I watched Ugly Americans last night and they compared WALL-E to Stephen Hawking.

LOL, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs got spoofed too! I think I like this show. The Spatula part was hilarious! ā€œMan, do I have egg on my faceā€¦ā€ 8D
Also, Build-a-Bieber.

Sounds interestingā€¦ in what way?

Well, Stephen Hawking was talking and a character said ā€œThis guy makes WALL-E sound like Josh Grobanā€.

Not really funny, but it interested me that they mentioned WALL-E.

Wow, talk about bad humour.

lol, yeah. That show isnā€™t animationā€™s shining moment on TV.

did anyone see the new episode, and if you did were there any Pixar parodies in it

Yeah, there were no pixar references on the clifforfield episodes :frowning:
