Pixar Poem Time!!!

Paris - The City of Love

Going around the corner
Walking along the street
Feeling the gentle breeze
Touching down upon my feet

Surrounded by the beautiful buildings
Makes my heart go reeling
Soon I feel compelled
I got a story to tell

About Paris
Which is called the city of love
Filled with magic and candlelight
Things are always happening when it becomes night

I love to be here
So let me make it clear
I hope you are in for an adventure
So get ready for a ride

In Paris
It is more refined
Even as we eat
Upon the finest of cuisines

Welcome to Paris…

The city of love!

Inspired by Ratatouille…

A Culinary Cuisine was a first. Soon I might get inspired to do up a fan poem around our favorite blue-furred rat, Remy… whom we all love and enjoy!

The Greatest Chef Of Them All

So you think you have what it takes
I provide you with a challenge
Are you ready to undertake a menial task
Because it’ll be a nice surprise

Soon all you’ll know
Is how to prepare a fine dish
It’ll be delicious
So here is a list

Add abit of sauce
Maybe abit of spice
Yes, that’s quite nice
Now prepare the oven

Soon you could be dubbed
The greatest chef of them all
With the way you create
Such tasty cuisines

Are you ready for more
To take on more dubious tasks
Within the kitchen
Which will be your world

So are you ready to become…

The greatest chef of them all!

Remy-inspired fan poem… more-or-less experimental than anything. It was hard to come up with rhymes in it, though. But it’s still a fun piece nevertheless.

Dude, those are really beautiful poems! I really loved reading the the first one.

I’ve read the poems here, and they’re all pretty creative
I’ll try to come up with some…(but I may not be good with titles)

A Girl Called Boo
Once upon a time
A little girl called Boo
Wandered into Monstropolis
And didn’t have a clue
About the things going on
Though one thing she knew
Was that her new friends were there for her
That part was clear and true

Her real name was not mentioned
Though some know it’s Mary
In the end she faced her fear
And no longer found it scary
She made friends with monsters
Though other kids prefer meeting fairies

She may have been different
And not like other girls
But she had an adventure she may not forget
A wondrous visit to another world

You may find her somewhat strange
But for now she wouldn’t care
For she knows her buddies
Are thinking of her somewhere

She may not have understood
Fights or violence or war
But she now is daring enough
To go through the closet door…

Following Dreams/Fulfilling Destinies
Wall-E wanted something more
Than working forever
So he found somebody to love
Forget her he could never

Remy wanted to cook
And though it took a while
He lives his dream eventually
And wears the happiest smile

Colette was toughened up
Thinking she didn’t need any help
She finally found the perfect love
That accepted her as herself

Linguini just needed a job
Nothing other than that
However he went through and got much more
With help from a little rat

Lightning had it all
Until he was forced to delay
He has the best of both worlds
Racing then slowing down for the day

Mr. Incredible wanted to be super again
It hadn’t occured to him until now
That his family was the more super thing of all
There’s no need to ask how

Violet was so shy and defensive
Thinking normal was what she should be
She learned that her powers were her gift
And soon the supers were free

All Marlin wanted
Was to be a great dad
He learned that his son needed fun as well
'Cause each other was all they had

Sully was the top scarer
Then he learned to care for Boo
Mike turned out to be a comedian
Sully got a happy ending too

Jessie knew about friendships
Sometimes being torn apart
But she still wanted to make a child happy
She was still a toy at heart

Flik just wanted to make things right
He did things they thought were weird
He ended up as a hero
The grasshoppers were no longer feared

The Circus Bugs lost their job
Because they were fired
They pretended to be warriors
In the end they got rehired

Atta wasn’t so sure
If she could handle being a queen
With more confidence building up
Her leadership was seen

Woody was Andy’s favorite
That was changing soon
When a new toy came in
He learned to make room

So if things go hard for you
Don’t let it get in your way
Keep in mind that nobody’s life was perfect
Don’t think of it was a bad day

These characters all had to face hardship
And we have to, just the same
But if you keep trying to find a way
You just might win life’s game

Whoa, those were some really nice poems you wrote there BBD. I believe my favorite one is the second one. I loved how you fitted almost all of the characters in one poem. Really enjoyable.

I thought I’d write a free-verse poem about the Luxo Ball and the Pizza Planet truck. My poem is based on “The Red Wheelbarrow” by William Carlos Williams.

So much depends upon
a ball and a truck
that seem to pop up
in every Pixar film.
