O.K. The answer is…Dory’s memory (or lack there of)
Fish can only remember things that happened very recently, (the longest I could find was about 3 mins) yet Dory is the only character whose memory was as short as in real life. (Although having said that, if every single fish in the film had an acurate memory it would have been much shorter)
