Pixfan's Art

That’s so cool, Pixfan! You definitely have skills when it comes to the expressions of the characters and the way you’ve laid them all out looks really professional. Jack-Jack looks so sweet! I can imagine him looking like that four or five years after the movie, definitely. Well done!

If you are planing on creating a comic book on these guys, I would be so flipping excited. I mean, if you got me this jumpy for that group shot, think about later. :open_mouth:

Compliments and comments appreciated as always…:-D)

StarSwordsman: The only safe thing to say is ‘Maybe’. I’m not too comfortable with comic strips yet, but once I get this coloring thing down, it’ll definitely be a consideration. Got a few ideas.

Tryna keep this thread alive:

Some random doodles I did of ‘Twista’ last year , experimenting with different styles…8D

Stay tuned,

Pixfan - Awesome expressions, Pixfan, and great work on the “muscle anatomy”!

– Mitch

Twista looks realy sweet Pixfan. Really cool too. Nice work.

Great expressions and great work on the muscles! And I love the coloring on your previous piece.

OOOoooo shakes fist
Darn you Pixfan! All this team stuff makes me want to bring by my titan team with Dash and Vi again. Teams are so much fun to work with aren’t they?
Really nice stuff here. Look forward to more.

Very sharp, Pixfan! Twista seems to have a real personality and that comes across well in your sketches.

Cool…I like how you did different sides/angles and expressions that make him come alive on the paper.

Thanx for all the replies people!!! :-D)

StarSwordsman: Thanx!

Mitch/Hannahmation: Haha, thanx, the muscle bit is a result of drawing Dragonball Z characters for years…PURE MUSCLE. 8D

lizardgirl/bright dot-dasher: Thanx guys! LIFE is the main thing I’m going for here…feels good to know it’s coming across now.

Haunt: Heh, my bad. But yea, teams will keep the creative juices flowing for a while… (and thanx!)

Over on deviantART someone asked me if I could draw a pic of an older version of Jack-Jack that went along with this fanfic he was working on, and maybe including one of my OC’s into his plot.

So I took up the challenge as something to do. So here’s the result:

(Summary: In the scene Jack-Jack gets into a bit of a jam with a familiar villan. Still being new to the whole super thing, he overdoes the self defense…)

Still experimenting. I think this look suits him pretty well though.
's funny though that I completely forgot that Jack-Jack’s hair was in fac t NOT BLONDE the last time I drew him. Luckily I fixed that this time…:-D)

Comments welcome as usual…
Stay tuned,

Pixfan - Ha-ha! You’re welcome!

Cool composition! I like your take on an older version of Jack-Jack; the shirt suits him.

– Mitch

That was Jack-Jack huh? I thought it was Dash. But nice work on drawing him Pixfan. it look me a long time to get what the picture is about, but I see. Nice work.

Mitch: Thanx. It was a bit of a ‘throw up’ when it came to the background, that’s the first time in a LONG time that I’ve even included a semi-decent background. :unamused:

As far as the design of Jack-Jack, i’m pretty pleased with it too. The author of the fanfic didn’t want the usual spandex supersuit, so I figured he should at least wear the logo.

StarSwordsman: Yea, I could relate how you could mistake him for Dash at first but the most notable difference between the two should be their hair color and hairstyle. Considering that they’re brothers I figured that should look pretty alike at this age (9). :-D)

Since this is draw sorta in mid-scene I tried to explain it a little in my last post, and thanx. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Pixfan - You’re welcome!

Yeah, the background is, you know, it’s simple, but it gets the point across. And I also like how you included the Incredibles logo on the shirt, even if it’s not spandex. (heheh)

Jack-Jack looks good, Pixfan! I like how he is similar to Dash, yet it’s obvious that they’re different as well. He looks like he’s got his father’s big chin, so he’s also quite reminiscent of Bob as well! The expression on his face is perfect for the moment you’re portraying and it’s the little details like the shine on his shoes that make this picture just that much better. I think the background works well in contrast to those details too.

I agree with the others! Well done.
It looks like you’re starting to experiment with both soft and cell shading. Good deal. On their own they can strengthen a pose and create depth. Together they can make things twice as nice. Keep going!

As the writer of the fic in question, I once again want to say “THANK YOU!!!” to Pixfan. You actually nailed the scene perfectly (even the fact that this incident took place in the SST parking lot.

Okay…so maybe that was more of a scream than a simple thanks. Needless to say, you knocked it out of the proverbial ballpark (along with Gravity…who eventually crashed down somewhere in Utah).

BTW, I do plan on using one of your characters, but I might have ideas for the others and I’ll bounce them off you first.

Pixfan you are Immortal… Without you I wouldn’t have done any drawing today…

Using one of your Dash for inspiration… I managed to draw my take… on the young hero’s look…

and as I’m pretty awful at drawing faces your interpretation gave me the reference I needed… I only hope my version of his suit (When I post it…) is anywhere as good as yours…

Your interpretations of the franchise are as per usual awesome…

I love the way you write your titles and names !

Thanx for all the love peoples! :sunglasses:

lizardgirl: Thanx. Feels good to know that my judgment can be trusted on this one. And I agree with the background thing, even though it was just an excuse for me to be lazy at the time…

Haunt; Thanx! Yea, I’ve been experimenting with different coloring techniques with hopes of finding a style I like. Looks like I’m getting close…:-D)

Crazy Calico: You’re welcome! Thank you for some much needed motivation! And yea, I try to do my research , every little thing makes a difference to me…:-D)

Captain Pan; Immortal? :open_mouth: I don’t know about that. Would be cool though…

Ironic though since I’m usually the one who needs someone to inspire me to draw…

Pixar.rocks: Thanks, though what has been up here in that area is definitely NOT my best work…

The countdown begins, before I’m completely free…last minute cramming kinda tying my time up at the moment. But I was able to finally make some positive progress on this long anticipated ‘Team Incredible’ pic.

After numerous versions and revisions, I’ve finally got the line art of one I’m pleased with:

Definitely will put my best effort to coloring this within the next two weeks…

Wish me luck.
Stay Tuned.
