Pixfan's Art

Wow – three minutes per sketch? That’s awesome! And they look fantastic too, I must say! Great job on the “practice” sketches.

Correction. Really good job on the practice sketches.

Thanx peoplez!

Yea, the 3 min. thing surprised me too, another first-timer fo me.
(feels accomplished)

He was actually easier to draw than I thought using a different method.

Very nice, especially since you sketched so quickly!

Thanx!

That’s a good job you did. Nice work Pixfan

Thanx HC, welcome to PP.

Your welcome, thanks for the welcome

Well, it’s been a while but I finally brewed up somethin new:

Took me a minute to actually make up my mind on what to draw.
Watched TS recently so Woody was on the brain.
Looks like I’m stickin with this shading thing…

Woody looks incredible! I love the detail that you put into him. Really nice work. Keep it up. can’t wait to see more from you.

Thanx Double S, practice makes (close to) perfect!

Awesome! The shading definitely works… Heheh.

I love how you made the 'o’s in Woody’s name into stars, by the way. Great artwork, Pixfan!

Pixfan: I have a couple questions. How long did drawing that take? And what do you plan on drawing next?

You know the funny thing about that first question is that people always ask me that when they see my art, but I can’t really answer that 'cause I never or rarely do my art in one shot. I’ll start it one day, stop , and finish it the next. But I can tell you this didn’t take long to draw at all seeing that Woody doesn’t really claim the word “detail”

As far a next, right now I jus goin with the flow, last time I couldn’t make up my mind so I took me a while to even think of what to draw. It looks like it’ll be more character drawings like Woody for a bit.

Mitch: Thanx!, had so show off my word art skillz a lil’

Pixfan - Haha – you’re welcome!

What are you gonna draw next, if I may ask?

Pixfan- You’ve got his proportions right, and more importantly, you’ve definitely

got his likeness! Those lips are just superb, and the shading on his cheekbones is awesome. A good idea would be

to try to avoid smudging as a shading technique, as that can rid you of a lot of texture and tone that could add

a lot of depth to your pieces, but all in all, this is very, very good! It looks just like Woody, so you’ve done

very well!

Thanx LG!

My shading technique is not the best I know, the main reasons’ s because I

don’t even have the proper tool. Believe it or not all I use is TISSUE to shade my pics as of right now, which

is responsible for the smudging. Hopefully one day I’ll get what I really need.

Mitch: Yea…I kinda explained that in the post above yours, take a look.

Pretty much says I don’t really know yet.

Well, what ever you got coming, I must say that I am

really excited for it. Good luck with it.

Yeah, I always smudge to shade my pictures as well…but, like

lizardgirl said, it can sometimes degrade the drawing. Woody still looks awesome,

though.

Oh pfff – I see it now. Heheh. Thanks for the telling me!

Aight folks, after some motivation from Mitch (sorta) I took a crack at ol’ Henry J.
