"A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value - you can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a mini raft down the slow heavy river Moth; wet it for use in hand-to- hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (a mindboggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can’t see it, it can’t see you - daft as a bush, but very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough. “Love means never having to say you’re sorry.”

Jennifer Cavilleri Barrett, Love Story.

rock-itpop, I hope you mean the book. That movie wasn’t very funny to me. I could tell they were trying to be funny, but it wasn’t done very well.

“The stuff that dreams are made of.”

^That’s great.

“Made it, Ma! Top of the world!”

Arthur “Cody” Jarrett, White Heat.

Anton Ego: In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations, the new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau’s famous motto: Anyone can cook. But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau’s, who is, in this critic’s opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau’s soon, hungry for more.

^I looove that “review” so much. Especially how you can hear a bit of a changed attitude in his voice.

Exactly. <3

Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?

Aw, that’s a good quote. In a sad way. :frowning:

Yes, I recently checked it out, and it’s so true…

Honestly, it’s the g=hardest for me to say goodbye to Pixar Planeteers, because I’m only close to band kids in real life.

I’m not really close with anyone at Pixar Planet, sadly.

“Why don’t you come up sometime and see me?”

Mae West, She Done Him Wrong.

Yes I do mean the book. I didn’t enjoy the movie too much.
