I personally really enjoyed it. It wasn’t no Beauty and the Beast, but it was awesome. I really did enjoy the songs though, mainly because of their diversity. You had jazz, zydeco, dixieland, and gospal. They all reflected the culture of Louisiana.
I loved Mama Odie! I learned a lot about Voodoo, and am happy that they had benelevent voodoo shown through her. She is a new and fresh take on the fairy godmother tradition.
I don’t really think Naveen looks like Aladdin. Maybe a bit. But I liked him a lot because he was so much more realistic than the perfect prince charming. He had flaws, which made him relatable and understandable.
I know this is tyranny to say on a pixar blog, but I was dissapointed it lost the Golden Globe to Up. I LOVED both, but I think Princess & Frog deserved it. I want P & F to get the Academy Award, but I know that Up will probably get it.
