Ratatouille Rated G, and is 111 min. long!

Ah, well, it is really close and

all. I’ll admit that.

[quote="JV IS

TIZ!!! PIXAR"]

 1. Cars = 156 min long
 2. TI = 155 min long
 3. Ratatouille = 151 min

long
Yeah, those are the runtimes according to the DVD cases, but I usually see TI’s

runtime listed at 121 mins (2hrs, 1min), where Cars is always 116 mins (1hr, 56mins), which mean that The

Incredibles is actually the longest. Then Cars and now Ratatouille.

But am I the only one who notices that

Pixar now usually has their runtimes around the 2 hours, when all these other companies like DreamWorks, Sony and

Blue Sky can’t even go over an hour and a half. Also, all their recent films have been done in scope (2.39:1- I

don’t know why it’s not 2.35:1 or 2.40:1) which means they love to give you more.

Mister Incredible – Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. I wonder it it’s got something

to do with Pixar’s love of story – they just can’t seem to fit it all into 90 mins! :stuck_out_tongue:

Otherwise, I

don’t know…

If it was going to be 90 minutes, wouldn’t it be too short? Even though it is average length

for a movie, it isn’t for Pixar.

Exactly. Look at TI, you couldn’t have made that movie

any shorter without changing the story to a large degree.

I bet editing this

movie was a great challenge for them. how not to make it too short, or too long, yet still deliever a good

story.

Yep, Ratatouille is going to

have a deep plot – cramming it into a time that doesn’t get to long must be a

challenge.

Well this is interesting…
Ratatouille

is nearing the mark of 2 hours…

Seems Pixar is getting so good in it’s work, it can hoist another half

an hour onto the FINAL production (add in the deleted/extra scenes and that’s just more).
At the rate

they’re going, Pixar’s films may get more deeper and enjoyed longer if they keep up the near 2 hour hit.

So, there’s a sneak preview on Saturday (I

already got my tickets in hand as I write this), but the offical Cineplex website seems to have a different

runtime posted

(here:http://www.cineplex.com/Movies/MovieDetails/DF3C595C/Sneak_Preview_of_Ratatouille_No_Passes_.aspx?loc=

&range=50&date=2007-6-14). It lists the film at 116 mins, which would ties Cars. I don’t know if

this might be because it’s including Lifted or not, but good news is that 111 mins seems to be the minimum

length now. Love how Pixar is nearing the 2 hour mark when DreamWorks can barely get over 1.5 hours. Just shows

how Super- Genius they are!

Question: Is 111 mins,

60 mins + 11 mins

or

60 mins + 51

mins?

111 minutes = 1 hour and 51 minutes.
