Ratatouille Screening at Pixar

ROBONICS95 - Wow it sounded so fun! In opinion was Ratatouille the best Pixar film

yet? and do you think the movie was about 111 min long?

ROBONICS95- You were so

lucky to go to Pixar and see Ratatouille!!!

Well it sounded like you had a really fun time!!!

ROBONICS95 - Thatā€™s incredible. Man oh man, I canā€™t wait to see

this film! Taking your explaination of the film into consideration, it seems as if this production will be a

winner among children and adults alike this year. Simply fantastic!

Thank you so much for the report,

dude!

Thanks to all for the kind

words!

Was it my favorite PIXAR movie??? Hard to say, Cars has my heart but Ratatouille was just pure

entertainment that it is going to be a hard pick between the two.

I say 111 minutes is about right, I was

so involved the whole time, it wasnt until after the credits that I was thinking I should have timed the

movie.

Thanks again to everyone, PIXAR does it again!

Pixar does it every timeā€¦

Youā€™re welcome,

ROBONICS95! Gosh, I need to see this movieā€¦

Congrats! Glad you had a great time!

Wow, ROBONICS95, it

sounds like you had a lot of fun. Did you talk to any Pixar peoples?

One little thing I left outā€¦

It seems as though

PIXAR has created itself a new little logo.

I was very disappointed when a fully computer

animated ā€œCarsā€ lost ā€œBest Animated Featureā€ to a movie with

little to NO animatiion, just pure motion capture generated images (My opinion,

should not even be in the same category).

Toward the end of the credits you will see something along the

lines of ā€œ100% Computer Animation. No Motion Capture Involvedā€

Nice, PIXAR!

Really? You mean they replaced the lamp

jumoing on the ā€œIā€?

Neat. But I

thought I read something on Upcoming Pixar that said Pixar had made a featurette on

how they did.

Anyway, thanks for the scoop,

ROBONICS!

No, it was just an added logo that I had not seen in ANY of the credits from previous

PIXAR movies.

That would be very interesting if that article

was correct as PIXAR proudly displays that ā€œNo Motion Captureā€ was involved.

Do you have a link

of that article?

Oh man, now I am really excited for ratatouille. i am

glad you got to watch it

LOL, I like that very much! Go Pixar!

ROBONICS95, Iā€™m so jealous that you watched

the screening of Ratatouille at Pixar!! Man!! lol, Iā€™m happy for you though, and Iā€™m really really glad that

you enjoyed it!! Iā€™m so excited to watch it!
thanks for the review and for telling us about it!! the

merchandise sounds awesome! i canā€™t wait to see them!
and that mustā€™ve been really cool to be in Pixar and

seeing all the Ratatouille related things and the clay figures/development pictures!!
wowā€¦
lol

and thatā€™s interesting that the put in another logoā€¦

hahaha thatā€™s so awesome!! haha, go

Pixar!!!
Yeah, Cars should have won that award!! They put in so much effort and detail and their story and

everything about the movie was more deserving of it! that was a disappointmentā€¦ :frowning:

but we know that

Pixar rocks, and it does!

[SPOILER IF YOU HAVENā€™T SEEN THE 9-MIN PREVIEW OR

MOVIE]:
and to bawpcwpn: haha i love your icon/ picture!! i love that scene where

Remy sniffs the soup and heā€™s all nauseous!! that was way cute!
-END OF

SPOILERā€“

Glad you enjoyed yourself,

ROBONICS!

I have yet to hear one bad review yet of the film, so this is

veeery promising!

Hilarious!

Anywho, I drove sort of by Pixar

today, on the freeway about half a mile from Pixar headquarters. There are quite a few Ratatouille billboards

around Emeryville. I took a moment of silence to the Pixar people who do great animation, not motion captureā€¦

Yay Pixar!

Motion capture has a strong tendency to look a bit creepy, anyway, especially when used for

the face.

For me,motion capture depends. The Polar Express was

sort of creepy. Monster House made the characters look more cartoony so it didnā€™t creep me out as much.

ROBONICS95 - How did we forget to ask you this question. Was the Pizza Planet truck

in the movie?

Haha ā€“ thatā€™s cute.

And yeah, Iā€™m with JV on this: Did you catch the Pixar

Planet truck and/or an A113 reference?
