Really? You mean they replaced the lamp
jumoing on the āIā?
Neat. But I
thought I read something on Upcoming Pixar that said Pixar had made a featurette on
how they did.
Anyway, thanks for the scoop,
ROBONICS!

No, it was just an added logo that I had not seen in ANY of the credits from previous
PIXAR movies.
That would be very interesting if that article
was correct as PIXAR proudly displays that āNo Motion Captureā was involved.
Do you have a link
of that article?
Oh man, now I am really excited for ratatouille. i am
glad you got to watch it
LOL, I like that very much! Go Pixar!
ROBONICS95, Iām so jealous that you watched
the screening of Ratatouille at Pixar!! Man!! lol, Iām happy for you though, and Iām really really glad that
you enjoyed it!! Iām so excited to watch it!
thanks for the review and for telling us about it!! the
merchandise sounds awesome! i canāt wait to see them!
and that mustāve been really cool to be in Pixar and
seeing all the Ratatouille related things and the clay figures/development pictures!!
wowā¦
lol
and thatās interesting that the put in another logoā¦
hahaha thatās so awesome!! haha, go
Pixar!!!
Yeah, Cars should have won that award!! They put in so much effort and detail and their story and
everything about the movie was more deserving of it! that was a disappointmentā¦
but we know that
Pixar rocks, and it does!
[SPOILER IF YOU HAVENāT SEEN THE 9-MIN PREVIEW OR
MOVIE]:
and to bawpcwpn: haha i love your icon/ picture!! i love that scene where
Remy sniffs the soup and heās all nauseous!! that was way cute!
-END OF
SPOILERā
Glad you enjoyed yourself,
ROBONICS!
I have yet to hear one bad review yet of the film, so this is
veeery promising!
Hilarious!
Anywho, I drove sort of by Pixar
today, on the freeway about half a mile from Pixar headquarters. There are quite a few Ratatouille billboards
around Emeryville. I took a moment of silence to the Pixar people who do great animation, not motion captureā¦
Yay Pixar!
Motion capture has a strong tendency to look a bit creepy, anyway, especially when used for
the face.
For me,motion capture depends. The Polar Express was
sort of creepy. Monster House made the characters look more cartoony so it didnāt creep me out as much.
ROBONICS95 - How did we forget to ask you this question. Was the Pizza Planet truck
in the movie?
Haha ā thatās cute.
And yeah, Iām with JV on this: Did you catch the Pixar
Planet truck and/or an A113 reference?
Gasduude, did you read the posts afterwards?
PIXAR was more or less ragging on the use of Motion Captureā¦
Unfortunately, I was so involved in what was going on in the movie that I missed it. I
definitely have an idea of a few scenes it may have been but with all the action taking place during those scenes
I can see why.
ROBONICS, just a couple of questions I thought of:
What
was the score like?
Were you crying at the end, like at the end of Monsters, Inc.?
Do you think it
will win the Oscar?
ROBONICS ā Oh, didnāt see that. Hehe, my bad!
The score was just as amazing as the movie.
While I was not crying at the end,
I was very inspired and just had a huge smile on my face!
Ah, it sounds like the music will be pretty heart touching. I canāt wait for it.
Cool. So itās more of an inspiring movie, than a tear-jerker? Thatās cool,
though. I need to be inspired at this time of my life right nowā¦
Same here, I could use an inspirational film right about now. I really canāt wait
for this movie. Iām hoping to see it at least three times (the most I ever saw a film in theatres is twice)
