Sarah Palin and Republicans

Here’s yet another terrible example of how low Republicans are stooping now to try to hang onto power.

Have a look at this short CNN story on the Elizabeth Dole (Republican) ad that’s airing all over North Carolina. It’s been on all the news channels nationally the last few days, and Dole is standing by it.

Have a look to the end and decide for yourself. It’s short.

To those who wish to comment to this: please do, I’d love to hear what you think. But please actually watch it first so you know what to comment on. It’s only 2mins long.

Bankrupt of everything else, this is all they have left.
And people wonder why the country is turning away from Republicans.

Gee, there’s been no response from any of the Republicans here to the above post. What, no Republicans want to support their North Carolina senate candidate?

Well, the object of Senator Dole’s “Godless” smear ad (see above post), Democrat Kay Hagen, has just made a reply. Check it out. 30 Seconds long.

Interesting usage of scripture.

From what footage I’ve seen of her speeches (mainly from The Daily Show and The Colbert Report), I don’t really like her. Everything I’ve heard her say had a slight smugness about it and I heavily disliked the way in one of her speeches how her voice went up then it suddenly went down like some sort of female John Wayne.

In the “spirit” of Halloween, here’s a humorous little Halloween observation…

McCain doesn’t open his mouth anymore without uttering the words “Joe the Plumber” – so much so, that it seems Joe’s now his unofficial VP pick!

And it got me remembering something I had written a while back, shortly before this whoe “Joe the Plumber” thing started.

Yes… it’s unbelievalbe. But it must be true! Forget what you’ve heard about McCain not using a computer or email.

JOHN MCCAIN READS THE PIXAR PLANET FORUMS!
AND CHANNELS THE SPIRIT OF JOEHISA!

Why do I say this?
Check out what I wrote just days before his first mention of “Joe the Plumber!”
(last post on Page #11 of this thread, written October 6th):

Seems like he took my advice!
If he wins, maybe I should ask for a Cabinet position! Or at least Press Secretary… :sunglasses:

McCAIN ENDORSES OBAMA!

Well, that’s not quite true. But it’s almost gotten to that. One high-profile Republican after another has come out to endorse Obama – the latest being Ronald Reagan’s Chief of Staff, Ken Duberstein (Chief of Staff is the closest person to the President – and this is Reagan’s Chief of Staff coming out for Obama!)

In desperation, McCain has begun airing TV ads from a few years ago showing Obama praising Lieberman and McCain for their stance on Global Warming. Gee… so, um… are we supposed to “fear Obama’s judgement?” Or not?! Which opposite talking point are we supposed to believe? (Not to mention all it does is make Obama look good and more bi-partisan).

And if that isn’t enough, after Colin Powell came out and strongly endorsed Obama, castigating McCain (his old friend of 25 years) for running a terribly dirty and nasty campaign – McCain responded by saying that he had his own military supporters, like Laurence Eagleburger.

Well, Laurence Eagleburger went on NPR the other day, and when asked point blank if he thought Sarah Palin was ready to be Vice President, he said:

Of course not. I don’t think at the moment she is prepared to take over the reins of the presidency.” He then added, “Give her some time in the office and I think the answer would be, she will be…adequate.” And he then went on. “I can’t say that she would be a genius in the job. But I think she would be enough to get us through a four year… well I hope not… get us through whatever period of time was necessary.”

After being sent to McCain’s re-education camp, he had to go on Fox news the next day and apologize – but said quite plainly (to those who would blame a “liberal press”) “I was quoted correctly.” It’s just that “I was just plain stupid.”

What do you do when you’re a car salesman and the only cars you have to sell are a Model T and a Ford Pinto?

Oh, but on the bright side, McCain did get one endorsement today: This morning John McCain was endorsed by… Dick Cheney.
