I’m watching Letters from Iwo Jima.
I often wish that every time I walked I had a theme as epic as the walking themes from Lost. And whenever something awesome, surprising or mysterious happened that horn slam would occur.
On that note, failure wouldn’t be so bad if it were accompanied by the losing horn from Price is Right.
^ Haha. I’m frequently imagining a soundtrack whenever I do whatever
That would be hilarious. Maybe add in some cheesy canned laughter here and there, like if I trip on the sidewalk, and THEN play the horn of failure.
I just bite myself on the tongue.
^ Owwie.
Here is my dinner. I’m a bit of a chocolate chip cookie purist: crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, a little salty/buttery, and there has to be molasses (you wouldn’t believe how many chocolate chip cookies I’ve tried with no molasses–so bland!). Pretty much 90% of the time I bake cookies, it’s this kind.
Unless it’s overcast tomorrow, I’ll take pretty pictures then with a nice plate and everything. That’s another factoid about me! I’m obsessed with food photography. Sometimes it comes at the expense of my boyfriend, though, because he worries the food will get cold as I’m plating it and finding the right light source.
Q, you and my best friend would really get along. She just started a new vegan blog on tumblr and she’s going to start taking pictures of all her food.
Speaking of tumblr, I’ve actually got the site down to a science. To some degree at least. There’s no official formula or algorithm, but I’ve figured out a lot of the mechanics and have developed my own hypotheses and theories. It’s kinda odd.
And for the first time ever I’ve gone viral.
I would be someone else for a while.
Link? I mostly post my food pictures on Facebook. I tried tumblr for a few days and gave up quickly.

She just started the other day. So posts are pretty thin on the ground at the moment but things should build up soon. If you’re still interested in a month I’ll be sure to repost the link, unless you fave it now that is.
I’m no longer that big of a fan of facebook. Sure tumblr is basically hipster 4chan, but for the people who aren’t just reblogging machines and unfunny elitist trolls it’s totally worth it. It’s really helped my self-esteem and let me know I’m not completely alone in the world in more ways than one.
Tumblr is just confusing to me. I also don’t have many friends who have it… If your friend doesn’t know the greatness that is Isa Chandra Moskowitz (cookbook author), tell her now! I’ve been vegan for 6+ years and she was my savior.
I just felt a sharp pain, but I’m better now.
If you ever want to get back into it, and I hope you do, I’d be happy to help you out (wow I hope that didn’t sound as condescending to you as it did to me), and everything. I love the place. I feel like I get a better view of who people are through their tumblr than pretty much any other social network and lacks the creepy privacy issues of Facebook and the superfluity that is twitter. (Geez, look who’s the hipster elitst now)
When I was 8 my friend and I spent tons of time trying to develop plans to build a time machine.
^ Of course you didn’t feel you were wasting your time, as the machine would help you recover it
I will keep that in mind should I ever get back into it. When I did have one, I used it for posting pictures of my food and quotes I admired.
As for the time machine: AWESOME!
I honestly can’t believe I took time out to write up a review of Space Jam.
I can’t believe I took time out to watch Space Jam
Q, my friend said that Moskowitz has the best recipe for chocolate cupcakes she’s ever had, vegan or otherwise.
I think you two would get on rather well. Vegans are usually serious foodies from my experience and she’s thinking about a career in nutrition.
I can! It used to be one of my favorite movies when I was 6, but I haven’t seen it in over a decade.
Your friend is absolutely right about veganism turning people into foodies. I know I was satisfied with some pretty dull food back in the day, and I never threw seasonings into my food other than salt/pepper. The only problem with being a foodie (in-training, in my case) is that it can cost a lot of money…
She keeps trying to get me off processed stuff and eating healthier. But bad food is so ingrained in me and I don’t seem to have much of a taste for fruits and vegetables. I’m just terrible when it comes to food.
The site keeps eating posts and I think I might be the only one who’s upset about it.
Not at all! I’ve had posts in the movie thread gobbled up–and only that thread, it seems–and it frustrates me. Should someone contact a mod? Considering that people do put a lot of effort into analyzing and reviewing films, it’s important to a lot of us. Maybe we can start a new thread that won’t be a jerk to our posts.
I love to watch TV. My favorite channels are Animal Planet, Planet Green, Nat Geo, and Discovery Channel.
My favorite TV shows are Meerkat Manor, The Office, and South Park.
