Say something about yourself

Good. My parents love them.

I’m fairly certain that I’ve bitten off more than I can chew with this music composition thing. Even though I have great ideas for projects and one project in particular I hope I can get done by the end of the year. I just don’t see it happening.

I feel like an outsider when it comes to Gen Y because I don’t play video games. I just plain suck at them. So I feel out of the loop. It’s the art form of our generation and I can’t get in on it at all.

I’m trying to purchase the A Bug’s Life and Cars blu-ray discs, but they’re so expensive here…

I can rarely follow through on projects, despite really badly wanting to… :frowning:

I’m about to make my 5000th post soon! I’ll be a Piston Cup Champion!

I hate Viacom.

I’M A PISTON CUP CHAMPION!

You both are certainly not the only people who loathe olives. My boyfriend and I also hate 'em. So freaking salty!

I also don’t play any video games. I play adventure PC games, but that’s it. Anything involving constant clicking of buttons and jumping and punching and shooting, no thanks. It makes me feel too on edge and braindead.

Also, I looooove your new sig.

How much do they usually go for? Doesn’t our region code work for you as well or is internet shipping is too much? Okay, I’m done asking questions.

Me too.

I also hate someone who is not a member here, but if I name her, I think I’ll get attacked again anyway. Hint: She’s not famous, and isn’t related to me.

Tommorrow I’m going to a church and help pass out food to the poor. It’s always niice to do something not for myself.

I’m appearently Roman Catholic now. Yay!

^ How’s that?

That’s what I play too! I don’t own any of the current consoles.

The thing is our government has restricted the Internet Purchasing dollars, so we can only have 400$ a month!

And there’s still people who doesn’t realize this is becoming a dictatorship!

On another thread, (I think) IGV mentioned her mother has decided to take the family to a Roman Catholic church instead of Baptist. It’s a bit of a jump I guess in my view but hey people change churches and even denominations all throughout their lives, of course I’m not sure, but you may need to take the Eucharist to be a full Catholic. It was so weird when I was 7/8 and all my friends in catholic families started taking it already, since in my parents church the average age was generally 17 for communion (my family are a mix of presbyterians and anglicans if anything at all- I was raised in a presbyterian church). But if her mum isn’t happy or the family isn’t it’s fair enough to move- when people have church they don’t like for whatever reason whether it be the congregation or particular brand there are… a lot to choose from after all. Especially in America (at least from an outsider’s persepective here not that we’re short on them where I am either).

I don’t really play video games much either, I did sometimes in th past but it’s not something I make a habit of, back in our early teens though I had a game boy ‘color’, my sister a game boy advance and they’re… somewhere in the house, but we never say got big counsels- we never got that many games either but I do remember a zelda one I beat several times.

But I don’t think I’ve played a video game in a few years now and I’m not big into it. It’s okay if say a friend wants to but I’m not interested enough to shell out several hundred pounds for that kind of hobby.

I’m happy if you’re happy Virginia! So your mom just came home and told you you’re family are Catholics, or are you just attending the church?

Well, that’s just silly. Do you plan on living in Venezuela forever pretty much?

And I’m starting to consider the geekiness of adventure PC games. They just don’t seem very cool to people outside the genre, do they? Here’s a factoid about me: I’ve been playing the Nancy Drew PC games series since I was 10 years old or so (no, I don’t follow the book series). I’ve played every single one of them, many more than once. That’s my secret obsession. I don’t think they’re the best adventure games, though; my favorite will probably always be the Syberia series: beautiful artwork, beautiful story, beautiful music, and they both made me cry.

Another little somethin’ about myself: back in high school, I did a minute-long traditionally animated short that was around a minute long. It took me 6-7 days roughly, which would mean I did something like 600-800 drawings for it. I didn’t draw very quickly back then, though. It’d be interesting to see how well I would fare with the medium nowadays.

Good luck if you decide to try again QoP! (And show us maybe later if you do.)

-Feels bad for missing that part in SoA’s comment-

It is very strange- if so are they trying to control the amount of media you consume or are they trying to ‘encourage’ (force?) you to buy more things made in the actual country?

Thankies. The only problem is I don’t have much of a set-up now for doing animation. I need to buy a pegboard and tape it to my lightbox. I’m really more concerned with working on my life drawing skills over the next semester, though. Gotta learn to walk before you can run!

^ No, I’m not planning on stay on here forever. I’m more than willing to leave on the first real chance.

And yes, they’re trying to control not just the amount of things we consume, but everything. They’re about to release a normative about Internet control, imagine that.

They’re goal is for us to live like Cubans do, if you’re familiar with the lifestyle Castro has imposed them.

I really hope that someday Spirit will live here in the United States! And there are so many people who take what we have here for granted.

Jazz is my favorite genre.
