Of course I’ve seen similar offenses in my country’s politics, but I’m not used to hear this things from other nations.
It’s really a tea party thing it seems mostly- though TBH, in American politics lately, I’ve more or less seen and heard things which make my mind boggle. I’ve kind of been reading up a lot on American politics lately though- since one of the livejournal places I mostly lurk on is political/news based and the members are mostly American.
Considering the fact he threatened the president and his children like that saying they should be assassinated, the secret service will probably at the very least look into him. I mean they’ve looked into less anyway from what I hear with Bush when he was president. And he called for the murder of a hugely important person online (calling for the murder of anyone and their family is barbaric though), with racism to boot. If someone turned around and did an attempt based on that he’d definitely be one of those to blame and would be formally charged.
He’s not elected (he failed his attempt to get into office), but he’s still a political figure in a way. People listen to him when he opens his mouth/read when he writes something. Something could have full well happened if one of his fanboys/girls had got it into their heads to carry out his wish. Or someone easily influenced in any case. He is clearly an utter fool to boot as well as a horrible racist who threatens kids. Apparently he back pedaled saying it was in ‘the heat of the moment’. But what he said is not something which can excused away by something like that. I mean people can get snippy and all on the net and arguments can occur as a result, but this is just not the same thing.
I thoroughly cleaned my home so it can be nice, pretty, and relaxing during my stay here until I go back to school.
