lizardgirl - Haha – maybe I
over-estimated, no?
At least your country isn’t as fast-paced as America. Here it’s "get up and
go" or get left behind… (sigh) But yeah, it is great to be an American.
Maybe you’ll get to visit it
sometime…

Mitch- Good lord yes. I plan to move over there as soon as
possible, as well as visiting LA to see Steve, and Emeryville for Pixar (duh).
I guess England will always
be home, but it’s so expensive and crowded and the weather’s always so awful. In America, you’ve got all that
space and everything seems to be so cheap!
Uh-uh. Winter
all the way for me. :3 I live in AZ, so that’s where my aversion for summer comes from. It’s kinda hard to
enjoy that season with scorching 114 F weather. We could use a little cold weather around here!
I know what you mean DoubleLatte because I live in
Texas.
Well, in Phoenix, Arizona we only
have THREE Seasons:
July-October: Monsoon
November-February: Winter
March-June:Summer
And of
the three, I’d say the Monsoon Season is most awesome. Imagine driving down a freeway when all of sudden a
cloud of dust and wind consumes the sky and moments later annoyed rain (not angry rain,
annoyed rain; as in, "Do you know how hard it took
to get here?!") in giant dollops hits your car, which is warm from the hot, dry air.
And as the
Lightning and Thunder rises to a climax, it suddenly all stops!
Dust dissapitates, and you’re back to the
normal 110 degrees of air and sun.
Absolutely beautiful!
And oh yes – Give me 114 F ANYDAY of the Week!!!
Pheon’s a PROUD Phoenician!

OMG! You guys get
rain?!? :3
Yeah, I am very familiar with that “annoyed” rain that
comes down at you in obese drops. Though you probably see more of it than we do where I live (Hint: It’s right
next to the border). We may get ocassional spitting, like yesterday, and then the clouds will be completely gone
by next morning.
Yeah,
well, in Virginia, we’re quickly approaching bone-chilling cold and it’s been raining on average one day a
week. The gloves, scarves and hats are coming out, as are the thicker coats, sweaters and lots of layers. At this
rate, I’d gladly suffer through the 115-degree heat wave that swept the California Central Valley this past
summer all over again.
Fall is fun in my hometown, though I really like it when the leaves change colors
here - there’s a mountain across the freeway from campus, and it’s starting to look like it’s caught fire.
Lots of reds and golds - it’s absolutely gorgeous - we just don’t get that back home.
“June”
is my favorite season of the year, because it’s not too hot yet (that comes in mid-July), but it’s also warm
enough to wear shorts all day and go swimming. Sitting outside with your feet in the pool and eating a popsicle
with the sun on your face… pretty close to heaven on earth. Spring can still be too cool, and here the weather
is so indecisive that I get frustrated with the changes… and I get allergies too. Winter here is too cold
and… yeah, it’s just cold, and back home it’s so wet.
Ah, yes, wonderful Virginia weather.
The best of
both world: still hot enough in the summer to make you sweat like a pig, and still cold enough in the winter to
freeze your toes off. I actually like the rain, though, no sarcasm on this one. So I guess my favorite season
would probably be spring. The weather seems to be just about right during spring, and plus school is coming to a
close instead of just starting so you’re feeling more relaxed (minus the week or two when the exams attack) and
able to enjoy the weather more.
Summer is great and all because of the no school stuff, but the weather
might be a little more bearable if I lived a bit farther north. Plus, then we might actually get some snow along
with our cold; the cold is perfectly fine if it snows, but since it almost never does here, the cold is instead
simply… cold.
