ONE of the only ones, dude. ![]()
TSS, unless YOU are the one still working on episode 6, you shouldn’t continue to reassure members of anything. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but “optimism, unfortunately, won’t save us from reality”.
The Ratatouille DVD is already out. We’re missing a potentially great opportunity for a podcast. And what’s worse, we haven’t even finished our theatrical release review episode. ![]()
Radio Pixar began as something wonderful, but I’m ashamed of it now. Our RP staff seems to diminish gradually, and they are a vital part of our Pixar Planet family.
Somebody owes you guys an apology that is long overdue.

Well, I can see it from both sides, guys… ![]()
The reason that people keep asking is because they are really looking forward to the next podcast. When a few weeks go by without a word from the creators, people like me get a bit confused as to when the show will be out, or even if it is still happening. Add that to the fact that us listeners don’t even have a date to look forward to a new podcast, which probably is one of the reasons why we feel the need to check up all the time.
On the other hand, yes it would get annoying having people ask when the podcast is going to ready, especially as it is hard enough to deliver the podcast without the added pressure of having to deal with us asking all the time.
Another thing I would like to say, and this may help with the asking of the questions, is I would like to know why the podcast is taking so long. Not enough time? Computer problems? Organisational problems? Maybe then we could help you fix the problem… I consider myself pretty good at editing, and would love to give audio editing a shot, so if you need any help I would be glad to give you guys a hand editing any segment that needs to be finished. I would do anything to help keep the PP Podcast on schedule, so if you would like to take up that offer, you know how to contact me.
I also think that more of a hands-on approach to this radio show would be a good idea to help keep things on track, as this would share the load of the show, as well as develop more of a community effort between this forum and the show. I think that Bill’s idea of a fan interview is great! But that is just the beginning. If Dash was to give one of us a topic to produce a segment every episode, it could fill in some time as well as make us feel more involved, and bring fresh ideas to Pixar podcasting. ![]()
I really enjoy listening to the show, and I think everyone here agrees that it is made with love and an amazing amount of effort has been put into it. I also think that because this show is so time-intensive, there should be more time management skills put into practice.
Now, I know that a lot of the staff go to college and have plentiful lives outside of Pixar Planet and Radio Pixar, but if someone doesn’t have the time to devote it, they should rethink their approach to the task at hand. I don’t think the current approach is working, and I think you guys would agree that waiting 6 months for another podcast is an indicator that something is not working here.
Sorry in advance if I sound condescending with anything that I said. I just wanted to get a few things off my chest and give some helpful advice - well, I think it’s helpful, and you can take it or leave it, and I won’t be offended if you choose to do the latter. I try to practice the rule of communicating honestly and assertively, with respect for both myself, others who may feel the same way, and the other party.
Above all, I think maybe a bit more communication between the Podcast staff and the listeners, between the podcast staff as a group, and everyone in general will make for a better community and also a better show.

Awww, PV. I know I’m just a voice on RP, but I still love the show and I know it still has potential. Maybe we should have a staff chat sometime soon. ![]()
Oh, don’t worry, guys. Radio Pixar is not dead. It’s just…dormant. ![]()
~~=oP
Thank you, rachel! You explained everything for me in a nutshell…
Great idea! I’m all for it. ![]()
And yeah, fan interviews would be cool too, Bill. ![]()
– Mitch
Oh, no probs, Mitch. ![]()
And yeah, the idea of fan interviews and more of us members here getting involved with the show is very exciting!
rachel and Mtich - Thanks for liking my suggestion, guys. Actuallly though , bawpcwpn (Thomas, aka. Luxo Jr. from Upcoming Pixar) did was a fan interview for Episode 2. I’m just bringing it up again, so we can keep it going.
Bill - Ahh – I see. Well, it’s been so long since I’ve watched any of the episodes that I didn’t remember him mentioning that until now. Thanks for bringing it up again, in any case!
Oh, and you’re welcome, by the way. ![]()
– Mitch
Well thanks for resurrecting the idea anyway, Bill.
I would love to eventually hear a fan interview from everyone on this forum, but only time will tell, I suppose.
Oh really? Goes and downloads episode 2 Heheh.
rachel - Would you participate in a fan interview, rachel? I think I’d be too big of a chicken to do it, as my voice sounds extremely weird on any recording system/device. The last thing I want to do is scare people… ![]()
– Mitch
Mitch - Ehhhh. So does mine.
Add to that, I would be very conscious of my “Aussie” accent, and would try to tone it down a little. I think I have a more refined accent as it is, but anyway. But, yes, I’d be willing to go through with it just to feel more involved in the program and for the experience.
Trust me. I’m sure your voice doesn’t sound weird at all and you wouldn’t scare anyone. Heh. I think everybody thinks that about hearing their own voice when they hear it played back. ![]()
Mitch, I don’t think anybody likes how they sound when listening to themselves. Cut loose, girl! ![]()
~~=oP
rachel - Dude, I’d love to hear your “Aussie” accent! That’s cool that you’re willing to give it a shot, in any case. The more participants the better.
Haha. Yeah, that’s true. I suppose that no one likes to hear their voice played back, especially me.
PV - No, you don’t understand. I scare myself, dude! That never happens…
(snigger You’re funny, PV. Heheh.)
Fine, perhaps I’ll participate. Now I’ll have to to prove to you all that my voice sounds like it originated from the planet Mars or something. (snigger)
– Mitch
Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!
Mitch - Heheh. That’s awesome!
Well, we’ll make a pact. If I agree to do it even though I will be nervous, and you will do it even though you have a “scary” voice, then it’s agreed and it won’t be so bad. The more the merrier.
Now if only they would ask us to particpate… ![]()
Well, you will in the next episode… Even if it’s only 10 seconds long. ![]()
PV: The reason why I’m assuring is because I don’t know! I try to stay positive, but if I don’t know, then I just say what I think! Sorry. . .
Doing that only gives members false hope, dude.
~~=oP
I’m sorry. If there’s anything I can do, just tell me.
It’s ok, TSS. As long as you learnt your lesson, I forgive you. Your heart was in the right place. ![]()
