Steve Jobs has passed away.

Man the day i heard Steve Jobs died was pretty hard to take, I didn’t really believe it was true, until I started to look up the news and sure enough it was true.
Miss you Steve Jobs, you were Epic!!

If my siggy loads up, please take a look, it’s all of Pixar’s characters in their tribute for Steve in his trademark dark turtleneck. Tomorrow Dad and I are headed to the Steve Jobs memorial event happening at one of our nearby malls.

I went to the Steve Jobs event in the mall and came away with a shirt that says ‘Why join the Navy if you can be a pirate?’ That’s my fave quote from Steve after the ‘Crazy Ones’ speech. And I love Pirates…
Plus I got three free stickers and a chance to leave a dedication to him on a writing wall. I drew a cartoon of myself listening to an iPod with the wire curling into a heart shape (in one minute! Phew…) And since they also had one of those really old Macs, I had a picture with one (like this )
Oh man, what a night.

Wow! That does sound like a great night, being there and leaving a dedication to him is something you can tell your grandchildren about. And I love that picture with the old Mac, how times have changed!

I also confess–my current computer is a secondhand Toshiba with Apple stickers all over it (the Apple apple, the Steve Jobs sticker quote). I feel wretched and pretentious…BUT I DO HAVE AN iPOD!
And our home computer is a Mac.

I have… an iPod Touch and an iPod Classic. I really can’t see myself buying anything made by Apple other than iPods.
