rachel - Exactly. The reason why I’m going to Pixar is because they actually understand the craziness of the universe and put it to good use. I can’t think of any other studio that my sister and I and… probably some of you guys would be more comfortable in, besides DreamWorks. (My sister and I would fit in at DreamWorks because we like various aspects of crude humor. Heh.)
Chocolate raisins?! Well, that just seals the deal then, doesn’t it? Heheh.
Indeed.
Oui, oui! Ok, that’s the end of my French speaking right there. Heheh.
Right, the pressure is on now. I’ll have to make the sigs sooner rather than later, I guess… Is there any particular theme you want the signature to have? I know you do want Remy in it, though.
rachel - Oh no, it’s all right. You take as long as you want. I don’t want to rush you.
As for a theme: Well, perhaps you could choose a shot from that scene in Ratatouille where Remy and Gusteau are peering down through the skylight into Gusteau’s! restaurant? Make up any quote you want, as long as it’s humorous. (heheh)
Thank you, rachel!
Puh-ha! Yes, indeed. I think they have Tootsie Rolls, too… (snigger)
Mitch - Well, I’ll try to think up a humourous phrase to go with that particular scene you mentioned, but I don’t do well when I’m boxed into a really specific request, unfortunately. I do better if I just watch the movie (or parts of it) on my computer and let them come naturally. But now that I know you want a humourous signature, I’ll try to make you one.
And you’re welcome. I’m honoured that you chose me to make you a signature.
I don’t know what a Tootsie Roll is, but if it’s sweet then I’m sure it’s good. Heh.
rachel - Nah, don’t sweat it. I know what you mean in that it’s hard to think up something laugh-worthy when given a request. But, like I said, take your time on the thing. Even if a phrase that you think up might not sound that humorous to you I’ll probably find it funny.
No problem! I like your “signature” style.
What?! No Tootsie Roll? Here, let me help you out:
Mitch - Yeah, a lot of the time the sigs that I think aren’t that great end up being the ones that every one else likes. I have a bit of time this weekend as far as I know, so I’ll try to make some sigs then.
Thanks! I like your style, too. ^^
That Tootsie Roll looks so yummy. Me being the sweet-tooth that I am, I’ll have to try one when I go to the US… Thanks for that!
I tried to make more but I just wasn’t “in the zone.” Plus, I want to watch Ratatouille a few more times before I go breaking down the story and watching it in parts on the computer. But I am determined to make some more Ratatouille sigs, so don’t worry. Skinner is so easy to make fun of - I’ll have to do it more often. He he.
If these sigs look smaller than usual, it’s because they are. I usually do mine at 345 x 162, but for some odd reason I decided to do these ones as 345 x 155. I think I’ll go back to the old format, or maybe even slightly bigger.
Mitch - I hope you like these, and decide to use one of these as a signature, but if you don’t, then that’s cool… I couldn’t think up any captions for that particular scene you wanted, either - sorry. But I’ll keep thinking about it and hopefully I’ll come up with something in the future. Tell me what you think of these, anyway, please?
Rachel, these are some of your best! I cracked up when I saw the “sanding drawers” one. I love the way you incorporated common IMing language into some of them. I’d use the “sanding” one, but I’ve gotten attached to the one Mitch made that I’m using now…sorry.
rachel - Ha-ha. Nice ones, rachel! I was actually going to do the “I believe I can fly…” one, but decided not to in the end… I’m glad that you got a chance to do it first. Heheh.
My favorite signatures have to be the “Camembert”, “cutie patootie”, and “booster seat” ones. I especially love the way you did the text in the “cutie patootie” graphic – very simplistic and “to-the-point”.
Again, nice job! I’ll still wait until you’re in the mood to think of a quote for the scene that I mentioned, but, like I said, take your time, dude!
Thanks for the encouragement and feedback, everyone! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and
Wink" />
A113 - There is usually a line with me that I don’t cross when it comes to using instant message language, but I thought in this case they suited some of the graphics well. Thanks for the feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the “sanding” graphic. I quite like it, myself.
Mitch - I’d still love to see your interpretation of the “I believe I can fly” idea, anyway.
Oh, thanks. Yeah, I never really noticed that my signatures are “to the point” until you mentioned it. I think it’s the font that I use - it’s not fancy or anything, so that must be it. Heheh.
Cool Ratatouille sigs! I especially like the “I believe I can fly” and the booger ones! And the underside of drawers one is really neat too! Maybe because Pixar actually had an underside of a drawer to sand this time…
