I really like the soundtrack, though “When Will My Life Begin” seems a little over-poppy. Still, its catchy.
Y’know, I’ve heard that Disney may be attaching a trailer for the 2011 Winnie the Pooh film onto this film, and as much as I hate to admit it, since I do kind of wanna see this film, that really is giving me extra incentive XD Will just have to find out if they have once it’s released.
Heeheh, I literally just watched the Winnie the Pooh trailer a few minutes ago!
Ooh ooh, how?? I’m so jealous!
Evangeline: Two of my friends posted it on facebook! So, you should check out youtube, it’s there.
Yes - we released the trailer to Winnie the Pooh yesterday! Personally, I love it (because it brings me back to my childhood…and not saying that because I work for Disney ) so can’t wait to chat to you guys about that soon!
Back to Tangled - Glad you guys like the clips! More goodies for you: A new featurette on Fandangothat focuses on Flynn and Rapunzel and their dynamic relationship.
The US premiere is this Sunday in LA. Are you guys excited yet?
DisneyMovies: All my attention is on Harry Potter right now, but after I see it I’ll be all ears for Tangled!
I personally stopped caring about Harry Potter a long time ago. I hated the last two books, I don’t like the movies at all, and to me it’s become extremely overrated and over-commercialized. I don’t care about Megamind either, although I do plan on watching it when the DVD comes out. But as of now, I have no interest to watch it in theaters like I am with Tangled.
OMG THIS FEATURETTE WAS AMAZING! It’s about time Disney released a video on Flynn and Rapunzel’s relationship! <3 And please don’t laugh at me, but I actually have to admit something very secretive: these two have already become one of my top favorite Disney OTPs. Now they’re tied very closely with my other two major OTPs, which are Aladdin/Jasmine and Naveen/Tiana. I mean, they have the whole package: dynamic, chemistry, romance, cute and fluffy moments not to mention the total hotness factor. Flynn is such a sexy beast, and Rapunzel is absolutely beautiful. Like seriously, what more could a shipper want? And I can’t wait to see how they’re going to fall in love in the film. :3
Oh and btw the same video that DisneyMovies posted on a different site just now was also posted on youtube. You can follow the link here. Same thing with the horsing around clip too. I also found the japanese poster for the movie that someone posted on the Tangled tumblr page. Enjoy!
UGH, why do the Japanese get all the gorgeous posters!? That’s so much better than the American version!
I think is due to the cultural differences; the Japanese have a deeper appreciation for beautiful and sentimental things, so the posters appeal to that mentality. Generally, Western posters tend to go for the slapstick and ‘cool’ factor, which I guess works as well for that kind of audience. The same thing happened with Ratatouille, Toy Story and HTTYD’s posters and trailers. Personally, I prefer the ‘emotive’ approach. I know there’s probably going to be humour in there for the kids and young-at-heart, but I want to see how much heart and wonder there are for the adults and ‘matured’ viewers.
I really love the ‘reluctant-partners’ aspect of the movie. We haven’t really seen anything closely romantic yet (unlike PATF trailers and clips, which kind of give away the relationship resolution), so I’m really glad that Disney has not spoiled anything so far. I mean, they will probably become close friends in their adventures, but to what extent is still in the air, and as Danachii says, they are ripe for ‘shipping speculations’.
There are some pretty great action sequences hinted at in both previews, and it should look amazing on the big-screen (though I’m not sure if it justifies the 3D experience yet). I just might consider seeing this in theatres if I have enough dough.
I really hate to say this but… this may be the first, bad film that pixar has been a part of. Don’t get me wrong I’ve enjoyed all movies from pixar but i don’t think this film measures up to pixar’s standards.
If by “part of”, you mean John Lasseter, then I suppose, yeah, you’re entitled to that opinion. But it’s mostly a Disney production.
John Lassiter isn’t even “part of” Pixar anymore, not really. He’s the head creative executive at the animation department of Disney. He has to be “part of” all of their movies now, not just Pixar.
So, everyone heard them, right? The song previews on amazon?
If not, here it is again, I just love them!

Is he still an employee at Pixar, Rac? I can’t really remember what’s his role at Pixar now besides directing Cars 2.
TangledUp: I wonder why the subtitle in the URL link is ‘thewholenewworld’?
Well, he’s Co-Directing Cars 2, I’ve even heard rumors that he’s the official director of Cars 2. I know he’s at least Co-Director. And I’m sure as a member of the Brain Trust and a Producer for all the new movies, I’m sure he’s quite involved.
You’re entitled to your opinion, but just to make things clear, Tangled wasn’t made by Pixar. It was made by Disney.
Considering Lasseter, yes, he still works at Pixar. But because he’s been appointed as the Chief Creative Officer at both Disney AND Pixar, he has quite a lot on his plate and is extremely busy to be involved with any projects. Cars 2 is the only film I know that he’s directly involved with, but other than that, he doesn’t have much time to sit in the director’s chair anymore.
There’s a full review of The Art of Tangled here. Looks beautiful.

Thanks for another amazing link Bryko!
I have to say, I love the concept art for Tangled, I always have. The character sketches are great, and love the paintings. However, the picture for the cover of this book is horrific, there are way better pictures to of put on the cover, but whatev.er
Glen Keane’s sketches are simply wonderful! So much flow and energy!
