haven’t seen the hangover 2 yet, but I am dying to check that scene out as soon as possible
It’s not that long of a scene, or as elaborate as it features way less lanterns. But it’s what an actual ceremony is traditionally like, so it’s interesting to see that version of the lanterns!
Every year at my school we have a St. Martin’s lantern parade, but so far, nobody’s made one that floats in the sky. My mom and the Crafts teacher are working on it. Strangely enough the physics and chem teacher won’t help… 
Sounds like a great idea! I’m sure that there’s a page somewhere on the internet that says how they work.
I really need to see this again. I’ve heard the soundtrack over and over again. I need to watch and laugh again.
I know what you mean TSS. I listened to a couple of the songs today, and it made me realize I need to give the movie a rewatch! 
Unfortunately, I don’t have the DVD. I’m waiting for it to come on TV.
Aw, that’s going to take at least another year! Can’t you go to a RedBox or a Blockbuster?

My mom checked me out of school early(I didn’t have to go to band. Ha!) on the day Tangled was released, and we ran to Wal-Mart on the day of release so I could get a $5 discount. I just had to have it!!
Hey, any of you guys hear about the new Tangled short coming out next spring? They announced it a couple of days ago. [spoil]Rapunzel and Eugene’s marriage. You know, the one in concept art that never made it to the film.[/spoil] They’re going to air it on the Disney Channel and make this big deal of it.

It was later posted that they’re going to have a whole induction ceremony for Rapunzel this fall at Kensington Palace to make her an “official” princess. After that point, she’s also going to wear [spoil]the stolen tiara[/spoil] with her costume at all of the parks. IMO, it would be great if they added [spoil]her short brown hair[/spoil] as well.

I’m excited for both! I’ve been wondering when the girl would become official! And I’m super stoaked for the short!
The short does look great, yeah! Never thought we would see something like this. I’m glad Disney (and Pixar) seem to be making this a habit, so those of us with lingering obsessions can fuel the fangirl/boy flames haha. As long as something like this doesn’t really interfere with the creation of original shorts, it’s all good. As far as I’m concerned, more Tangled in the world can’t be a bad thing. Plus, the concept art for this was gorgeous. I freaked out so much!
Honestly, as much as I love Rapunzel and Flynn, I’m most excited to see Rapunzel’s parents again. They’re just so sweet!
It really struck me how much things have changed in the last ten or fifteen years. I always remembered having Ariel or Cinderella clothes and stuff when I was little, but the whole merch thing has just taken off, hasn’t it? Never would have seen something this big coming.

I love her parents! I always cry a little when it shows her dad crying and them releasing the lanterns.
