No i didnt do that picture but i am working on one of this picture.
I know it’s sad. But there really are only a few trhat are ‘true’ Disney princesses.
Well if you ask me some of these princesses were not even princesses to begin with! Cinderella, Creole Girl and Belle were commoners who were lucky enough to get princes! Snow White, Briar Rose, Jasmine and Ariel are the REAL princesses here! And Rapunzel too-- so why is she not included in the group shots?? Again, PIIISSSEEEEDDD!
She’s not in this one either, but Tiana is.
Who’s Creole Girl? Anyway, I wish Kida was included.
Mayfly: I think she wasn’t there yet because she hasn’t been “inducted” yet.
Creole Girl is Tiana. I haven’t watched the movie so I didn’t know till Sealy told me her name Anyhoo, I love how they set that movie in New Orleans. And Incredigirlvirginia, I really want Kida to be there. Why is she not there? AGGH!
HEY I HAVE AN IDEA!
I’m an okay drawler but if there are any other artists on this thread you can do this too!
Ok here’s what we should do whoever has a princess that they want to be included post your favorite picture of just her here and i could draw a picture with all of them!
Does that sound like a plan
Great idea! I’m a really good drawer (seriously. I know.) but I’m not too good copying other people’s art…Especially cartoons. Me and IncredigirlVirginia both want Kida in there though. Your pic of her was really good! Kudos!
I didnt do that.
I wish i did! But… I started on her but then I thought of this idea!
So do you have a princess you want included?
Ah, okay. I’ve never heard “Creole” before. And yes, I would love to post an art of Kida, Sealy! Burt that would be off the topic of Tangled, and I don’t have a scanner.
Anyway, I watched this movie last night. It never gets old. That may sound stupid, since it just came out last year, but I’ve seen it so many times!!
I watched Tangled again today, and I cried 2 times. And I’ve never cried during it before. This movie is really growing on me.
I watched it at 2 AM and cried 3 times today. I love it so much.
We were just at walmart and katie and I were in the movie section. And tangled was there and we were like “thats the same one i have” hahaha
I love Creole, one reason Tiana is one of my favorite princesses.
Am I the only one here who thinks Kida is ugly?
I think the Princess Lineup is perfect, once they add Rapunzel. I wouldn’t want anyother girl added, save a Latina princess.
At the Disney Store at Times Square in NYC, I bought a Pascal plushie. It’s so cute!
Kida? Ugly? I don’t think so. In certain shots, and certain angles, she looks odd to me. But I think she’s a beautiful girl, and there are 3 or 4(most of which I really like) girls in the Princess franchise who I believe have less claim than her. I love her face, her clothes, her hair(but I would like it better jet-black ) her personality, her eyes are enchanting, and honestly, I just think her face is gorgeous and she has one of the best princess physiques by far.
Personally, my least favorites are Tiana and Pocahontas. I love something about every Princess, but those two by far have my least favorite personalities, from those included and not included.
And I’m all for a Latina Princess. But, only if the movie comes from a strong story and character arc, not a need for a complete set of racially diverse Princesses. There should be one of every race, but the movies need to be motivated by story. Not to add another girl to the line.
I too use to not like Pocahontas. I thought she was too boring and stiff. But the last time I watched the movie, I liked her more and found she had personality! I love the mischef in her eyes when spying on Smith, and when she and Nakoma are looking at Kocoum. The more I see the movie, I pick up on those details. She’s so sweet. But I can see what you’re saying as she comes off childlike.
I adore Tiana. Like, she was very hardworking and too self driven. But I like how the movie goes on she has fun. Great character development.
There’s no denying that there will be a Latina heroine in the future. Good story or bad story. That was one motivation for Tiana, a princess for their francise to appeal to a wider range of girls. At that young age, it’s natural for children to choose dolls that look like them, and relate to them. And with the growing Latin american population, Disney will be more than happy then to cash in on that demographic.
Kida has nice eyes and body. But her nose and lips just ruin her face. That’s my opinion at least.
I see why you dislike her nose and lips. They’re not the same as the Princesses. But I think they just didn’t want the Atlanteans to look too much like real people, so they could be their own culture.
I realize that that may not be as glamorous as Ariel or Jasmine, but I think she looks very unique, distinctive, and I love everything about her.
As for Pocahontas, I know what you mean. And I like it more when I see it now than when I was little. I like all of them, but she just has the least personality in my eyes. And as for Tiana being my second least favorite, I just get so annoyed with her. I know her over workingness is the point of the movie, but it just doesn’t work for me. I found it annoying. I do like her more at the end of the movie, but I just don’t like her as well as Jasmine or Rapunzel. It’s all opinion.
And just out of curiosity, when ever they make a Latin Princess, where would you like her to be from? I think Guatemala would be very interesting.
Anyway, Tangled is so special to me at this point. It’s one of the few Disney movies most people in my family like(everyone but my dad), and we just love to huddle up in the living room or my room and enjoy this movie!
Yes, I see what you mean. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
And your thoughts of Tiana, though I disagree, are not uncommon. Most people on Fanpop dislike her for the very reasons you listed. And I can see what you mean.
Guatemala? I wouldn’t of thought of that, but you’re right it’d be beautiful setting.
As for a Latina princess. I’d love it if she came from Spanish Colonial California, in the 1700 or 1800s. The setting in a Californian Spanish Mission on the eve of the United States stealing California from Mexico would be interesting, and she could be the daughter of a wealthy Vaquero.
Oh, i love Kida half to death! We are taking up Ancient Civilizations in our class and when the teacher brought up Atlantis, I made a little fangirl shimmy:)I even have a Kida toy with the giant mask thing! And I used to have one with the stone fish-thingies that they ride. Kida looks extremely unique, Love the hair–oh my god the hair.
As for a latina princess, why not? We love Latinas! (SOFIA VERGARA!)
I used to not like Pocahontas much. I never even watched the whole movie, But yesterday in the bus, a ninth-grader was singing ‘colours of the wind,’ and it spoke to me. Such a poetic song, with the most beautfiful tune and lyrics. It’s a great song. 'You think that all the people who are people are the people who look and think like you?" Powerful stuff.
Hmmm, that does sound good. It would be different that the usual "Mexico adventure"movie, which I can’t stand! Movies like Beverly Hills Chiuahua and Bandidas are boring for me. Having it set in the Spanish North America would be good. Reminds me of The Mask of Zorro, which I love!
I should probably use FanPop more often. I seem to be pretty oblivious of the people there and their feelings.
MayFly: I love her to death, too! I wish I had a toy of her. I’m jealous! I want the Barbie type of doll, but oh my Gravy, so expensive!!
Anyway, in my opinion, Tangled should be one of PP’s movie nights!! Does anyone agree?
I agree x10000!!!
