I have to say, I don’t like how the Pope is next to Flynn’s shoulder. It looks inappropriate, because of the decoration on Flynn’s uniform.

As for the soundtrack, I want it so badly!! Kingdom Dance rocks my socks, especially the flute part. And I’ve been trying to play ‘I See the Light’ on the piano! Only I suck.

I was supprised that Tangled did well at the box office despite the awful marketing it had. I remember reading it gave Potter a run for their money. Disney films recently have just been marketed badly or released aganist mega blockbusters. I think their films have been getting better ever since Eisner left around 2006.
See, everyone’s saying that’s the Pope, but when I first saw it I just thought it was a random priest, like whoever would officiate. But I see what you mean XD
Did anyone notice that Flynn and Rapunzel are posed in the same way that they were on one of the posters for the original? They have the same expressions and everything. Except that you see a veil where Rapunzel’s hair hung loosely before. And it’s a mirror image of the original, but yeah.
Also, Pascal has a little purple bow tie! awwwww.
As far as marketing goes, even though the ads and trailers for Tangled were truly horrible, at least it HAD advertising. The most I ever saw for Pooh was something on the side of ONE bus. I’d definitely agree that Disney animation has gone up in quality over the last five years, but I’m a little worried about this next one- Wreck It Ralph, or whatever it is? I’ll just try to trust that they know what they’re doing over there.
That poster is beautiful! It it possible to buy? I would totally hang it next to my Tangled poster.

I just saw Tangled and wanted to do a little review of what I thought. It was probably one of the best films I’ve seen coming from Disney. I liked Rapunzel’s backstory with her parents. Most of the songs in the film were amazing. Alan Menken usually knocks it out of the park when it comes to that. The animation and visuals looked amazing as well. I did think Mother Gothel was one of the weaker of the Disney villians. She honestly reminded me of a character coming out of a Tim Burton/Henry Selick film by her appearance. The character development I thought was a bit weak and the climax wasn’t that bad but it could of been better. Overall, very good movie coming from Disney that was alot of fun. Highly recommended if you haven’t seen it. Grade: A-

And now that you mention the poses, it’s bothering me. Really Disney? Did you just photoshop different outfits over the original poster? That just comes off as lazy to me.
I think it’s cool, and kinda sweet that they just bring it back at you.

I agree with Ballboi that if Tangled has a flaw, it’s a not very climatic ending.
Other than that, it’s an awesome film.

And I think I know what you mean by the priest and Flynn’s shoulder, but honestly, I think you guys are reading into it. I would have never even thought of that. It’s a straight line; I don’t even think it looks like…that after thinking on it. Sorry. shrugs
Actually, it’s going to air on Disney Channel from what I’ve heard, so maybe you’ll be able to see it that way, Incredigirl. I don’t even have that at home but I actually get more channels at college than I do here, so I’m excited. I think Disney Channel occasionally plays classic Disney movies, which’ll be nice. You know, when they’re not playing things like BLAM! which make your head bleed.
I just got Tangled wall decals for my dorm room! Most of them are flowers and birds and things, like what Rapunzel painted around her tower. A couple are character ones, and those are nice, but I was really excited to see the others- I love all of that pastel type art in the film. And it’s a nice way to have Tangled in my room without having the big poster. Which, admittedly, is kind of cheesy looking if you aren’t familiar with the movie.
I might have to see this short film since the ending to Tangled got me interested in what was going to happen next.
Wall decals? That’s awesome! I have a Tangled poster, and that’s all I have room for.

Yeah, the decals were $10 at Target if you’re interested! You get four big sheets of them, so there’s plenty there, and most are tiny, so you could fit them in between posters. That’s what I’m planning to do, anyway. I’m already taking a couple of Harry Potter posters, and combined with a big photo collage frame and some artwork, I just wouldn’t have room. Plus I don’t want to completely strip down my room like Andy did in TS3. What other posters do you have?

Agh, I’m jealous. I only have a HP6 poster and a Transformers one, I had an Iron Man 2 poster but it got wet in a storm and I had to throw it…Bye bye, Tony.
I have drawings on my wall though! I guess that makes me sorta like Rapunzel. I’d like to pint the walls but the landlay won’t let me. She won’t let me have a chameleon either.

And you’ve looked into getting a chameleon? That’s awesome! I went to PetCo last month, where I went straight to the Reptile section, like I always do. And there were little green chameleons! They were so cute, and looked just like Pascal! I wanted one. Until I read the sign that said they’re just babys and how they can grow to be a foot long!
