That one scene

MiniChuchan - Ahh, I see what you mean now. Yes, I can see how that would be rather daunting, but at least the impossibility of it is a fact. Eheh.

I’m sure in allot of films there was something we dislike seeing
I do mean that, in other films, some scenes just take away from the story and your like “ok…nothing here”.

For me, like the others, the ending scene at M.I. actually hurts mentally and physically for me…haven’t seen it in…oh…coming up 3 or 4 years now. Not like I can’t recall it at all, I just don’t need to.

-thinks-

Um…

OH YEAH I’VE GOT ONE. D: When Marlin is whimpering Coral’s name after the barracuda attack and when he discovers that all the eggs are gone and he begins to cry… it makes me go all “omg dun cry man or else I’ll start”. :frowning: I find it hard to watch that bit.

Well I cant say I’ve ever had a problem with a Pixar scene so much that I skipped over it. I’ll admit though the beginning of Nemo with the barracuda & Marlin losing his family is sometimes hard to watch, but I never skipped over it. It’s a pivotal point in the story. So I do watch it, even though it’s really sad. Other than that, I cant think of anything.

I noticed a decided dischord there as well. Also, [spoil]when Remy explains “nature and change”[/spoil] seemed off for some reason. Neither is drastic enough for me to ever skip it when watching the film, but those are the parts for me.

nubetre - Cha, it was a rather weird moment. Maybe the director just asked Mr. Oswalt to improvise at that part, so Patton just added a little bit of his “flavor” to the sequence? I dunno. :stuck_out_tongue:

Really? I thought that that was one of the most pivotal and impactful scenes in the whole film. Then again, everyone has different tastes. Heheh.

When I was younger, I always skipped the scene where Woody accidently knocks Buzz out of window and when all the other toys are treating Woody bad. But I stopped it then when I got the DVD and now I never skip any scenes in a movie.

No, I watch all PIXAR films all the way through.
They haven’t dissappointed me yet.

One scene that I normally tend to skip over is from Ratatouille [spoil]when Remy falls into the kitchen.[/spoil]

It’s not a bad scene, I’ve just seen it so many times from watching the 10-minute preview over and over again before I actually saw the film.

LBER: Personally, I don’t think i can ever get tired of that scene. It is like that scene gives you the view of something so extravagant through the eyes of a rat. It just gives me an adventurous sensation.

I never skip any part of any Pixar film. It’s (sorry, I love using that bold tag  ) much better when you watch the movie the whole way through. As for that 10-minute Ratatouille preview, I didn’t watch it once, because I felt that I might get tired of it. It turns out, I was right, and I still watch the whole movie the whole way through, nonstop (unless I need to use the toilet lol).

I almost wish I never had watched the 10-minute preview for this reason. I agree with everything you said, and I’m sure it would easily be one of my very favourite scenes if I hadn’t seen the preview a zillion times :stuck_out_tongue:

The thing is, I watched the preview like a couple times, so when I watched the real thing, I knida knew what to expect afterwards, but it sitll didn’t ruin the movie experience for me.

Well, when the WALL•E preview comes out (and I know it will), I (strongly) suggest not watching it. It seems like a really good movie.

LBER- I feel the same way- seeing that scene so many times has spoilt it a bit, unfortunately. It’s a great scene, but as with anything, seeing it over and over again just makes it less surprising and more mundane. And I probably only saw it about four or five times before the film came out!! But even that is too much.

I realize I skip or pay attention to something else when the scene in Ratatouille comes on, starting with Remy talking to Gusteau atop the building, ending at the part where the soup goes out to the customer.

This is just because I’ve seen the 9-minute sneak preview one too many times. I don’t skip the second part that was shown in the preview though, 'cause there’s more dialogue I guess … and more Linguini … there, I admitted it.

No, I definately won’t be watching any more sneak previews. Haha.

I try not to skip past any movie because then you aren’t getting the full experience that the film maker intended. I also try to watch the film with no distractions - no multi-tasking for me, especially if it’s a Pixar film. My sister is the total opposite and it drives me crazy - I’m like “You’re not getting the full Pixar experience! ARGH!” ;-o

Wooo! Ready to join the “I LOVE Linguini” club are we, FONY?

I love the Toy Story movies, but when Woody or Rex are yelling, I am always tempted to mute the sound. It sounds so incredibly annoying to me.

Ahhhh! Me either! He’s the best part of that scene, or any scene, really  Haha, i’m glad i’m not the only one
