I was also disappointed that Aslan didn’t show up until later. He was one cool lion.
they were trying to make a point that he isn’t a tame or trained lion just to show up when wanted.

Yes the last battle does that…or one of the last books. Yes the last battle does refer to it. THey even have a fake lion as the anti-christ. Its awesome and scary. Tash is in it.
