The final week

No, I had totally forgotten that we had cameras with us, and when it passed, and I remembered, I was like DANGIT! I should have that sig right now, ugh. I’m still really happy with this one you made me though!

tsk tsk.

Well, at the dollar theater, movies usually play until roughly 1-2 weeks before the dvd release (they have countdowns on the website) ;D So, I’ll get a picture when it lands in the dollar theater

Wow, ffdude, I’m impressed - 25 is a lot! Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m going for #6 tomorrow, and this is the first time in years I’ve seen one movie in the theatre that many times. UP is worth it, though!

Oh boy,…

So I was looking through a trailer to make some sigs, and the original trailer pulled a Wall-E video moment,… I started crying. 6 days without Up, and I’m already having withdrawls. I miss it, SO MUCH already!

Aw, ffdude, I feel for you, I really do. I know it’s not the same, but I find that what helps me is to go on the official site and watch all the clips and featurettes they have on there. I tell you what, I can’t wait for DVD/Blu Ray, to see what the bonus features are, and catch all the little details, etc. Hang in there!

A theater employee showed up at my work tonight and told me he had posted a video on youtube, here it is! You guys can probably notice some moments from my pics in the vid. I have video recorded, or my friend does, but we have yet to upload it, it should be soon.

That’s so cool an employee posted your exploits! You musta been a minor celebrity in your hometown! I chuckled when your balloons got stuck in the doorway.
I look forward to your posting of your own video.

That’s cool one of the theater employees posted a video of your 25th viewing! Bet they’ve never seen anything like it before! I, too, look forward to seeing your videos!

The 25th vid is still not up, but here’s me in the Disney store, and I’ll be posting another video or 2 fairly soon. Enjoy!

So after I went the 25th time 2 weeks ago, I thought that Up was out of theaters the next week outside of town. I checked a theater behind Barnes and Noble to see if it was, just out of curiosity, and it was still there! This is the theater I saw it the first time in by the way. It was still just as wonderful, I’m so glad I got to go again!

You know. You freaked me out everytime. I LIKE YOU! [[spoil]Young Ellie’s[/spoil] way]

LOL, great videos! I’m so glad you got Dug, he’s so cute. I like Talking Alpha, ha ha. What was the book with the poster in it? I haven’t seen that one (the “limited edition storybook”?).

Dug works so awesome as a pillow, he’s super soft. I got to take him to the movie too!

There’s the book. It’s a picture book, and the images are really really amazing, that’s why I got it. There was also a junior novelizaton which is what I was looking at with that picture of Carl wearing his hat, but that was just a little pamphlet thingy inside. Still really cool though, it’s almost word for word with the movie.

As for the snowglobe vid, sorry about it being sideways (my phone saves quiktime files, so I can’t edit them without going and finding something to change the format or that can handle those files. Kind of annoying. Maybe I’ll get it fixed at some point.

Looks like a pretty cool book.

One of the things UP-related I’m wanting now (aside from the DVD itself) are some nice pictures I found on the Disney store website. Unfortunately, these range in the hundreds of dollars, so I can honestly say I’ll probably never get one, heh.

An example:

Don’t think these have been mentioned anywhere, so thought I’d go ahead and throw them out here since we’re already kinda talking UP swag.

Yeah, I’ve seen those, SO expensive! The one I want is the cheapest I think, where they’re waking the house. The one with the house in the clouds is so gorgeous!

Hey, do they have UP’s junior graphic novel there? The bookseller told me that they only have in Asia & some country in Europe. I’m confused coz it is clearly that Up is from America. Somebody could give me answers please?

Btw, I already got the Junior Novelization Book. & still freaking waiting for The Art Of Up. [It’s already 2 weeks Kinokuniya!!! C’mon!]

I take it you didn’t read my last 2 posts. I mentioned the junior novelization, it’s there. Pretty neat. I gotta get that snowglobe,…

Nope. I really mean it’s junior graphic novel. I do. & The magazine too!

According to the well, ‘comic’ & the Up Magazine, the artists who drew the characters is Italian. & both graphic novel & magazine was distributed & created by Disney Global Magazines.

I’ve got the Junior Novelization, and there was something I found kind of odd about it:

They completely skip over the “infertility” issue, and have Muntz just get tangled in some balloons and “drift away” (both understandable in a “junior novelization”) - BUT, there are a couple of instances where they’ve changed lines from the movie and made them harsher! In the movie, when Carl is coming back to the airship, Muntz tells Alpha to guard the bird, and “If you see the old man, you know what to do.” In the book, he says, “If you see the old man, kill him.” :open_mouth: When Alpha has Dug trapped in the cockpit, in the movie he says something like, “I will have many enjoyments from what I am about to do to you, Dug.” In the book, he says, “I will enjoy the killing of you now, Dug.” :open_mouth: :open_mouth: I know in both cases, that’s what they’re thinking, but to have it spelled out that way in the book, when the movie handles it more tactfully, seems odd.

Wow! Really? What a ‘Junior’ Novelization!

Wow, that’s a bit harsh. Interesting. At least it was the antagonists they changed, that’s a bit better than if it were protagonists.
