It’s not quite the same, but I’ve had green tea mochi, and it’s pretty good!
I’m a food lover, so it would be very difficult to choose ONE favorite food.
The one I hate are olives, though.
I have just tried one of the most awesome desserts in the world: a pizzookie. ANd yes, it looks like what it sounds lika. A pizza cookie. It’s a warm giant cookie dish topped with ice cream. It is so delicious and it melts in your mouth.
I dislike straight olives, but I do like Olive Oil. I also enjoy to go Olive Oil tasting. My favorite is this garlic olive oil I tried in San Francisco. Heaven!
I’m strange like that. I dislike olives, but I like olive oil. I dislike tomatos, but I like ketchup and marinara sauce.
I love olives! I always have it on my pizzas. My bro doesn’t like it, he’s such a wuss. He also picks the bell peppers off his pizzas and gives 'em to me.
Olive oil is delicious. I also dislike tomatoes, but I don’t mind tomato sauce, though chili is infintely better.
I’m a teetotaller, but I’ve tried a few drinks for experience. Not sure if it’s appropriate to discuss alcohol here, so if fellow Mods take offense, feel free to remove this, but since Ratatouille and The Incredibles made mentions to wines, I feel it’s alright.
I dislike wines and beer, but I love coffee and cream liquers like Kahlua and Baileys. Smirnoff Cola ain’t bad either. Tequila is fun to try with that salt sucking method, but I personally don’t like it. I also love Caipirinha, Brazil’s national cocktail, made with cachaça sugar and lime, and Singapore Sling, Singapore’s national cocktail, made with gin, cherry and pineapple juice (although it tastes a little like cough medicine and reminds me of Sangria). I want to try a Margarita, Bl**dy Mary, and a Vesper Martini next on my ‘bucket list’.
Perhaps I should set up a ‘What’s Your Favourite Drink’ (alcholic and non-alcholic) to discuss this in greater detail. Just not sure if it’s appropriate to discuss the alcoholic ones with some of the younger members running around.
I personally see nothign wrong with discussion of alcoholic drinks. A glass of alcohol each night is actually healthy (especially red wine for the heart). But as with all things, too much of a good thing is unhealthy and has consequences.
I personally believe that in the US, we’ve tabbood alcohol so much, that it makes it all much more dangerous and enjoyable for underage folk. Because of this, unsafe party habits have formed. The alcohol age should be lowered to 18 in the US, and eventually to 16, as it is generally in Europe.
I have no problem with discussion of alcohol. After all, my father grows wine grapes for a living, and I make my money by working as a bar back at a winery!
I think it’s a good idea to have a thread dedicated to drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). This is an interenational forum, and the drinking ages are different in all countries, so I think it’s fine.
I don’t have any problems with olive oil either. So you aren’t the only one.
And now that TDIT mentions it: Olives are the ONLY thing I can’t eat. Anyway, I don’t consider the alcohol to be food, but if it were, it would be the second thing I hate.
I just had some homemade chili cheese fries, really delicious!
I love cookies. Who doesn’t? I love sugar, gingerbread, oatmeal raisin, cinnamon, pumpkin, and chocolate chip.
Those are all fantastic types of cookies! My favorite cookies are snickerdoodle, double chocolate chip, or pumpkin!
Not sure that I’ve ever had pumpkin flavored cookies. It sounds very good.
I love pumpkin anything really. Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin ice cream. Yummers!
it is good. it kind of tastes like a mix between pumpkin pie and gingerbread… at least the ones I cooked.
My mom makes whoopie pies with pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and cream cheese frosting in the middle! Sooo yummy!
Oh, and for those of you who don’t know what a whoopie pie is, it’s like a sort of cookie sandwich with frosting in the middle. The cookies are more cake-like, though. Typically they’re made with two chocolate cookies and vanilla frosting. It’s kind of a New England thing… not many people south of us know what whoopie pies are!
little chef
That’s interesting! I’ve never heard of those, maybe I’ll try some if I find them in NYC.
I’ve decided my favorite non-pizza meat product is shrimp. But as of late, I’ve been really loving rice with vegetables in it.
My favorite food has to be either cookies or french fries.
I love shrimps Like most seafood, except actual fish.
Yes! I hate fish. Too slimey, too many bones.
Yes. Hurrah for crustaceans and mollusks!
