The French Premiere of Ratatouille!

Well, even though I wasn’t invited to the premiere I went to Paris on June 30 and was able to take some nice pictures. I was lucky enough to shake Bob Iger’s hand and say ‘Hello’ right after he came out of the car, Unfortunately that was all that I was able to say as I was kind of ‘shocked’ and surprised of what I just did. Also, Brad Bird and his wife were kind enough to stop in front of me with my amature camera. ‘Thank you Brad!’ was all that I could come up with. I was also able to get my Ratatouille soundtrack signed by Michael Giacchino at the end. I had the most wonderful evening and the hours and hours of waiting were well worth it.

You can find some of the pictures I took right here:

markjochems - Wow, You’ve got

some beautiful pictures there! I loved them.

Fantastic

:smiling_imp:

Thank you so much for the slideshow. Man, what I wouldn’t give to have been there. Micheal Giachinno’s

music almost made me tear up (yes, you heard me) . He did such a beautiful job with the score.

Thanks

again!

markjochems: Wow, awesome pictures. It makes me want to go over there and join in on the

fun.

markjochems - Wow. Such wonderful pictures, and Michael

Giacchino’s score that went with the slideshow made them all the more lovely. Beautiful snapshots,

markjochems! It sounds as if you had a wonderful evening.

markjochems- Such beautiful, beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing!

Oh, thank goodness! The first time I saw Raratouille, I was just sitting there with

tears pouring down my face from [spoil]the moment Ego gets catapulted back to his childhood

[/spoil]until the end of the film. If you watch it again, note the wonderful flute solo

[spoil]that accompanies Remy’s climb through the building when he arrives in the city, which gives

way to a fabulous orchestral violin ensemble as he finds fresh air, with a sweet violin solo on the girl applying

lipstick in silhouette, then the music swelling the first time he sees Paris.[/spoil] I think Oscar

hands down.

Wow, you described it perfectly there,
putmoneyinthypurse. You make me want to tear up…and I’m not even watching it right now.

(And welcome to Pixar Planet! Love your name… )

putmoneyinthypurse: I agree with you. I am sure it will win the Oscar award. And Giachinno is an absolute

genious, like all of the parts you mentioned.

(Welcome to Pixar Planet.)

putmoneyinthypurse - Ah –

those were most excellent and beautiful descriptions of the moments you mentioned. Tenderly put, I must say!

:loves:Pixar Planet, by the way! I hope you find your stay an

enjoyable one.
