The Nostalgia Critic

I noticed that a lot of people on this forum are NC fans, and I also noticed that there is no thread for him here. I might as well try something new. Anyway, this is a thread to discuss and share opinions on all the new reviews done by the Nostalgia Critic as they come out.

So to start off, what do you think of his review for Zeus and Roxanne? I can’t even believe this movie was thought up. It’s like a bad joke that some idiot took seriously. I’m starting to feel sorry for Doug; nobody deserves to watch a movie like this. Overall the review was very funny (as usual), but it didn’t stand out as one of his best. I also thought it was a little short. I give it a B+. I especially loved the subtitles he put for the dog and dolphin and the movie quote that declared world peace. Also make sure to watch the very end for an image that will scar you for life. Dolphin PUNCH!!!

I love TGWTG. I turned three of my friends into fans.

I enjoyed the Zues & Roxanne review. My favorite joke was the “Play-Porpoise.” I don’t have an all around favorite review, but The Room, The Wizard, Captain N, and Bebe’s Kids are up there.

I love the Nostalgia Critic. I don’t think I could choose a favorite review- he just makes me laugh so much in every one! The Batman and Robin review would be up there though-gotta love his freak out over the ‘bat credit-card.’

I just recently became a fan of TGWTG, and I have to say my favorite review is still the first one I saw- The Care Bears Movie. His Top 11 Villain Songs one is a close second. I haven’t seen many of the others, though, but I’m working on catching up. I watch a lot of Nostalgia Chick and Bum Reviews too.
Edit: Just saw Zeus and Roxanne. My favorite part was probably the world peace montage. XD

So Doug Walker’s Animaniacs Tribute finally came out, and all I can say is…wow. That was certainly different. I was expecting something like the Drew Struzan tribute or maybe even a lesser version of the Siskel and Ebert tribute, but nobody on Earth could’ve ever expected this. Instead of being a little review praising the show, showing certain individual moments, and repeating things already said in the 11 naughtiest moments list and the 11 greatest nostalgic cartoon shows list, Doug went waaaay beyond. His latest “review” is an hour long 3-parter, which basically acts as an interview for a large number of writers and voice-actors who worked on the show. So many great questions were asked and the answers were usually even greater. Just because it was an interview doesn’t mean it isn’t funny though. Doug isn’t in the special that much, but he does keep in character. Just listening to these people was a real treat, because they really are funny and likeable people. The ending with Slappy Squirrel was unexpected, but brilliantly hillarious. Just the idea of seeing Steven Speilberg on the set of Schindler’s List with a script for a Pinky and the Brain sketch in his hand is unbelievable. I grew up with the Animaniacs as I’m sure many of you did too, so being able to relive these moments when kids shows on TV were smart and not afraid like the “entertainment” kids are introduced to today was a fresh rush of nostalgia…and hey, that’s the name of the game. It’s not at all like anything Doug has done before, and if you aren’t 100% interested in Animaniacs then you might not like it as much, but I think that most people are anyways. It might be too soon, but for reasons to obvious to explain, I think this may be my favorite work The Critic has ever done. The more I think about it, the more I realize that Doug Walker is becoming more and more professional in each review he does. I can’t wait to see what we will see from him in the future, now that we know what he is fully capable of. I give his Animanics Tribute an A+ (in other words, go see it right now).

Yeah, it WAS really unexpected. I did enjoy it though, and I thought it was funny that a woman who modeled for DISNEY characters did a show for WARNER BROS. Eh, I don’t really consider them rivals anymore anyway. I like to believe that Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny became friends in Toon Town, then ganged up on Spongebob.

Seriously, down with Viacom/Paramount/Nickelodeon/Dreamworks. Disney and WB, you guys have a common enemy.

I just recently became a fan of The Nostalgia Critic. I watched most of his videos in one night, I just couldn’t stop myself 8D I think my favorites so far are the Pokemon: The First Movie review and the Carebears movie review. I also really enjoyed the 50 Impressions in 50 Seconds video. The guy has talent. His videos are the only ones I like enough to bother watching all of them, except Smosh.

The Animaniacs tribute was incredibly awesome. It was really interesting to hear the original writers talk about the history of making of the show. I especially loved that none of them knew how they got away with so many risque jokes on a kids show.

That review officially renewed my love of Animaniacs. Yesterday I bought and watched 6 episodes on iTunes. I had forgotten how much I used to love this show. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah, I just saw a video where Doug was to perform at a convention. Unfortunately, Doug was running late. So to keep their audience happy, they got [spoil]Tommy Wiseau![/spoil]

Doug Walker, I don’t care that about the rabid fans with loaded pisols, the fact that I live in states apart from you, I am a young girl and the age-consensual law prevents me from being with you, one day you will be mine.

oh hi pixar forumm

He’s awlsome, one of my favorite people on the web. “CASPER!” “Have you seen Casper?” 'And lo and behold an abnoxious douchebag with uncovincing dreads will put grapes in his nose and constantly shout bloopity bloopity bloopity bloopity and it will be called the eleventh level of hell. Dante then wet himself and cried in fear" “DALPHIN PUNCH!”

By far the funniest thing I’ve ever seen!

By the way, I thought The Flinstones Movie review was very disappointing, and I give it a C.

Hurray! NC delivers another hit in the form of Mr. Nanny. I give it a high B+ because I laughed out loud on several occasions. “Scary slo-mo!”

OMG I love the Nostalgia Critic my top 5 are The Room, The Tommy Wiseau Show, Batman And Robin, Tom And Jerry The Movie and Casper.

Excuse me, but I think the rest of us fangirls would beg to differ!

" Sean Armstong died immediately on impact. The children are now in an institute for the criminally insane. Max did snother Muppet movie." The ending was the best. Those kids are mean, I think they were trying to kill.

I love Nostalgia Critic! Although I thought he totally missed the point with his Last Action Hero review.

This guy is a GEEEEENIIIUUUUS. I laugh so hard with his reviews. He is so crazy.

Oh yah, by the way I give his Rocky IV review a B-. Not bad at all, and really funny at parts, but not one of his bests.

heres his new review, the review of “it” the killer clown, the movie its so stupid that the nostalgia critic gets drunk to see it, in my opinion, the mos funny of his reviews to date.

He already posted that 2 weeks ago, made a review of Leprechaun, and is going to release another review tomorrow.
